For the 2026 fantasy baseball season, it’s one game down and 2,429 more to go after the Yankees and Giants squared off on Wednesday night. Since that one game isn’t nearly enough to draw any conclusions, we will spend our first post of the season looking at the risers and fallers from Spring Training performances. […]

[long inhale]…ah…you smell that? It’s baseball writers using the word verdant…it’s Thing throwing out the first pitch on Netflix…it’s Anthony Rendon hitting the 60-day IL…It’s baseball, baby and it’s back! Turned on Netflix last night to watch the Giants vs. the Yankees and I thought about my great uncle. He’s 96 and is a Giants […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Tigers SS Kevin McGonigle and Cardinals SS JJ Wetherholt got some good news this week: they’ll be breaking camp as big leaguers. The early frontrunners for rookie of the year forced the issue by walking more than they struck out in spring training. Each hit two homers and stole two bases. Left-handed hitters who are both listed at five-foot-nine, they may find themselves conversationally linked throughout their careers after sharing this spotlight.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Last week, I talked about the depressing state of first base. This week, it’s even worse. I’m about to fire up some Dashboard Confessional and put guyliner on this group. It’s a weak group. Somewhere, somehow, we need some youngsters to break out here. There are some possibilities here that will be highlighted, of course. […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Baseball starts tonight, get psyched! Right now, though, it’s time to focus on what’s important: preseason predictions! Before we dive deep into countless hours rearranging lineups, FAAB bids, and making trade offers in order to win a couple hundred dollars in our friends and family league, which equates to roughly twenty-eight cents per hour, we […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?It was smooth sailing for filling the Razzball Commenter Leagues this year. Thank you, everyone, for getting in early and often! Only three drafts remain at this point with all three waiting until the last possible moment to draft. Three leagues drafted Monday night, including the Perts League. Those Monday drafts are not included in […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? Real-life baseball is almost here! Games will finally matter, and we’ll all have to start remembering to set lineups and fine tune our FAAB bids. May your trail ride true and smooth, pard. All I’ve got for you chuckleheads this week are some notes as Spring Training rides itself into the sunset. […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Well I was originally planning on a look at NL OF playing time battles for this week. But with the season about to open (Yay!) those battles have pretty much played out. So instead, let’s look at some playing time winners and losers here, and their outlooks as those final drafts and auctions hit the […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Opening Day is almost here, and the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast is diving into the madness of early-season decision-making. With the first run of FAAB and waivers already in the books, Grey and B_Don are debating how quickly you should be adjusting. Are you already mixing things up or sticking with the team you drafted? […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The code I cracked? Not the Da Vinci Code or The Code, a movie I think I saw that I can’t remember seeing or who was in it and Google no longer works. This time, I cracked the NFBC code by drafting the best team I’ve ever drafted in forever. Forever, forever ever? Forever ever? […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! I’m going to cut right to the chase today. I should have done this one last week and saved the RazzSlam recap for today. Chalk it up to poor planning on my part and not realizing how close we were to opening day. Alas, here we are. I hope that pruning […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Where I find the Four Opponent Powers most useful in fantasy is probably in discussions with ourselves. As I have suggested in multiple articles, we tend to be our own worst critics, a tendency that almost certainly isn’t constructive in any way. Another potential use of the purification practice is when we are wrong – which happens a lot when creating draft strategy, analyzing players, and coming up with FAAB bids.
