Note: This week’s edition of Ambulance Chasers was submitted a little earlier than usual due to inclement weather. The information was written as of the afternoon of Friday, April 5. If there is news or updates that came out in the late afternoon or evening of Friday, April 5 , it won’t be reflected in […]

“Hello, Personalize Any Jersey Emporium, you’ll make anything I want, right? Okay, great. So, I will provide you a Royals jersey, but on the back I want the name, Middleton, and on the front I’d like a cartoon drawing of the Princess of Wales Catherine aka Kate Middleton
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy April! We’re one week into the season now, and personally, I feel like it’s been much longer. Sure, it’s beyond wonderful to have baseball back, but some of the pitching has been… well, disappointing so far (like, disappointing enough that I feel it’s taking months off my life). Luckily I didn’t have a ton […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? When given information, we naturally try to make sense of it by creating a causal story/narrative, which, if true, would explain our data. Massive amounts of data would be most effective; the averages would be more accurate, the margins of error would be smaller, and the outliers could be more easily identified. Some downsides to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Another stretch of Opening Days has MLB games littered throughout the day. Some of us will love an irrelevant Coors Field contest (not on the early or main slate), but there are still plenty of stackable offenses and top tier pitchers available. On the 3 game early slate, most people will roster Skubal and Bobby […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s Double Dong Day at Jake Burger’s! “Burger dongs,” he said thoughtfully, “That was what Dan Schneider made me say on the set of Good Burger while I massaged his shoulders.” Former host of Double Dare, Marc Summers shuddered, continuing, “I never want to hear that or ‘I don’t know’ again.” He looked up at […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Last names trip me out. Some were given for an occupation back in the day. So, a blacksmith was named Blacksmith. But he would have had to been the first blacksmith, no? What if his son wanted to be a farmer? Talk about putting one’s family into a box. What about Beaver? Did someone in […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? What is up party people? We’re now one week into the season so let’s dive into what we’ve learned. Just remember that all we have to go on right now is one hot or cold week, or something in between I guess. Trust your preseason evaluations don’t panic just because a guy you loved during the draft is batting below .200, *cough Nico Hoerner *cough. He will be fine and much much better days are ahead.
Please, blog, may I have some more? The 2024 Major League Baseball season is one week old, which means we finally have numbers that count to start evaluating our fantasy squads. With only 26 weeks in the fantasy baseball season, even one week of information should help guide us to decisions about who deserves a valuable roster spot on our teams and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?In our 38th episode, Mike Couillard is joined by Keelin Billue to open with discussion of our favorite Opening Day happenings before getting into the latest injury news. Then we dive into our favorite currently injured starting pitchers we are stashing in our fantasy injured reserve spots. You can find us on twitter (X) at @cardscategories, @mcouill7, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I am stubborn, but not so stubborn that I can’t admit a mistake. I wanted to watch Cole Ragans (6 1/3 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 2 walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 1.46) and be honest with myself if I thought it was a mistake calling him overrated in the preseason. I didn’t want to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Rangers IF Justin Foscue was promoted to take the roster spot vacated by injured 3B Josh Jung, who got plunked in the wrist and broke a bone for the second straight season and will reportedly need about six weeks to recover. Foscue figures to mix in with Ezequiel Duran and maybe Josh Smith, so it’s hard to say how many chances he’ll get in the early going; nonetheless, it’s good for Foscue even if it felt like a big ole fuskyou to my 15-team dynasty team that doesn’t presently have a back-up third baseman.
