We’re getting down to the final stretch for the 2019. It’s been a fun ride, but we still have more so buckle up and let’s win some DFS.

What a welcome Mike Yastrzemski (OF: $3,200) got from the hometown Boston crowd in his grandfather’s ballpark. (No matter how many times I write his name, I still can’t spell it correctly on the first try.)  He celebrated his first start in Fenway by catching the first pitch and then blasting one into the seats. I’m excited about his power potential and think he can add to his total. Let’s keep the party going.

Mike Clevinger, SP: $11,800 – Clev is hot and the Tigers are not. He may be expensive but he’ll be well worth it.

Joe Musgrove, SP: $8,000 – Musgrove has been pitching well down the stretch and finds himself in a favorable matchup with the Mariners. He doesn’t bring the strikeout upside that I normally like to chase but he should be a strong, less pricey option nonetheless.

Kyle Gibson, SP: $7,300 – The great thing about the bot is that it highlights opportunities to cash in on less expensive options that are lined up for good outings. Take Gibson for example, the bot rates him as the number two pitcher today but he has a very low price. He has struggled lately, likely contributing to his reduced price tag, but he brings some K upside and has the bot’s blessing. That’s good enough to make him an option.

Paul Goldschmidt, 1B: $3,600 – He’s heating up at the right time for real life baseball as the playoff approach. Fortunately, heating up anytime is the right time for DFS. He’s chasing another 100 RBI season and the Cards are chasing a playoff spot so we can be confident in him playing all out today.

Rowdy Tellez, 1B: $2,600 – Let’s get Rowdy with the robot’s top first base option today. Rowdy pretty much strikes out or hits one a mile. He’ll be in Baltimore today which will help his power potential. So take a swing and see what happens.

Luis Arraez, 2B: $2,700 – Not a strong slate for the keystone today so take a chance on Arraez. He’s been raking this month and still sports an average approaching .350. As always, more counting stats would be nice but you take what you can get.

Manny Machado, 3B: $3,600 – Looking at his season numbers, Manny has been a bit of a disappointment. However, that doesn’t change his immense talent. The bot is in, so take a look at him.

Rafael Devers, 3B: $3,500 – He’s done nothing but hit this season and even a matchup with Madison Bumgarner won’t be able to slow him down. Don’t overthink this one.

Jorge Polanco, SS: $3,300 – He keeps hitting so keep on getting him in your lineup. He’s not facing an ace and he’s got plenty of support around him. Game on.

Kevin Newman, SS: $3,200 – I’m in on Newman even if the bot doesn’t rate him among the top options. He’s giving us a strong average with some power and speed. That adds up to the potential for a strong fantasy day.

Giancarlo Stanton, OF: $3,900 – Hard not to go with a guy on a team making a playoff run the checks in near the top of the bot’s projections even if he is fresh of the IL. If the reports that he’ll get to DH for the entire game today are accurate, he’s a great option. However, even if he only plays half the game he still makes for a strong start.

Yasiel Puig, OF: $3,100 – He’s raising his average to close out the season but it would be nice to get a little power from him today. But as long as he’s getting hits and driving in runs he’s a strong play.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

It’s all clear sunny skies all around except for Miller Park, where the chance of rain is low and they have a retractable roof.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Let’s chase some overs shall we? We’ve got 10s in Minnesota and Baltimore as well as 9s in Atlanta and Boston.
