On Monday night’s DFS slate there are not a ton of great pitching options to choose from. But one that you can build your FanDuel cash lineup around is the Rockies’ Jon Gray. The Giants are a team that you can attack with right-handed pitching. Against right-handed pitching this season San Francisco has a low .160 ISO and a .292 wOBA. And they are even worse at home, where they have a .121 ISO and a 70 wRC+. In addition, Gray’s low price tag of $8,500 will allow you to pay up for plenty of bats. Now on to the rest of the picks.

Freddie Freeman, C/1B: $4,500 – The Cubs’ Jon Lester has been a great pitcher for a long time. But his reign as a pitcher you want to avoid using bats against are over. Lester has simply run out of gas. In the month of June, he’s allowing a .367 wOBA and 2.66 HR/9. With the wind blowing out of Wrigley, Freeman should do nothing but cause problems for Lester. The Braves’ first baseman has a .293 ISO and a 156 wRC+ against lefties this season, and is red hot with a .346 batting average in June.
Gary Sanchez, C/1B: $4,500 – Toronto’s Aaron Sanchez is a guy you want to pick on when building your DFS lineups. So you could pick any one of the three Yankees’ first basemen, but Sanchez gets the call for me. Not only does he punish right-handed pitching with a .367 ISO and a .395 wOBA, but he also loves fastballs. And Sanchez throws a lot of them. In fact, Aaron Sanchez has thrown a fastball on 59% of his pitches this season. While the Yankees’ bomber owns a .773 slugging percentage against the pitch in 2019.
Gleyber Torres, 2B: $3,700 – The Blue Jays’ Aaron Sanchez is allowing a .429 wOBA on his four-seam fastball this season. Look for Torres to enjoy his time against the Toronto starter. Torres owns a .349 ISO against that pitch this season.
Nolan Arenado, 3B: $4,500 – Anytime you can get Arenado against a left-handed pitcher, you have to give him strong consideration. The third baseman has a .342 ISO and a .452 wOBA versus southpaws this season. When that lefty is San Francisco’s Drew Pomeranz, getting Arenado into your FanDuel lineup is a top priority. The southpaw is allowing a .412 wOBA and 2.7 HR/9 to right-handed batters.
Hunter Dozier, 3B: $3,700 – Cleveland’s Adam Plutko is really struggling with right-handed bats. The Indians’ starter is allowing a .391 wOBA and a 3.86 HR/9 to righties. These struggles are likely to continue against Hunter Dozier. The Royals’ slugger has a 1.092 OPS against righties.
Javier Baez, SS: $3,400 – The Cubs’ shortstop has scored double-digit FanDuel points in four of his last five. With the wind blowing out and Julio Teheran on the bump, Baez should get at least 10 FanDuel points once again in this one.
Francisco Lindor, SS: $3,700 – Lindor has a .239 ISO and a .365 wOBA versus right-handed pitchers.
Ronald Acuna Jr., OF: $4,300 – Acuna is in position to give the Cubs’ Jon Lester a tough matchup. Not only does the Braves’ outfielder own a .292 ISO and a .416 wOBA versus southpaws this season, but Lester has also been bad against righties. The Chicago starter is allowing 1.88 HR/9 to right-handed bats.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr., OF: $3,000 – The Yankees’ C.C. Sabathia has a tough time with righties this season. He is allowing a .378 wOBA and a 42.5% hard contact rate to right-handed batters. Gurriel should take advantage. He has a .346 ISO and a .404 wOBA versus lefties.
Aaron Judge, OF: $4,300 – The bashing of Aaron Sanchez continues here in the outfield suggestions. Both Judge and teammate Giancarlo Stanton are in play. Judge has a .262 ISO and a .355 wOBA vs righties.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
It looks like the weather could play a big factor on Monday. The Kansas City/Cleveland game could get postponed as there is heavy rain expected during game time. And if the rain in Cleveland was not enough, then the wind that is expecting to be blowing out to right at more than 15 MPH at Wrigley Field should do enough to cause havoc on Monday night’s FanDuel slate.
Doing Lines In Vegas
With the wind blowing out of Wrigley on Monday, we are looking at an 11.5 over/under for the Braves and Cubs game. So, of course, you will want to have a lineup that game stacks this one.
