Mat Latos has been on six different teams since 2015, DFA’d three times and some how is still pitching in the big leagues. He’s actually been pitching pretty well in his couple starts this season, carrying a 3.27 ERA and has only allowed 1 HR in his 11 innings. However, a trip to Yankee stadium on Tuesday night should change those numbers in a hurry. New York Yankees currently rank first in runs scored and HRs hit in the American league. Meanwhile, Latos FIP is 5.48, so his 3.27 ERA doesn’t tell the whole story; he is due for one of those outings where he gives up a couple long balls and 6-7 runs. Bats like Aaron Judge ($7,600), Didi Gregorius ($7,200), Jacoby Ellsbury ($7,500) and Starlin Castro ($7,200) could prove to be a nice stack for the night.

Masahiro Tanaka, P: $18,800 – 3-0 1.61 ERA in his last 3 starts, now gets the soft hitting Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays rank 25th or worse in Runs, HRs and Avg. They also are top 5 in the league in strikeouts. Yankees are are -190 favorites, so the win should be in play.
Tyler Chatwood, P: $13,800 – If you were asked who has the best road ERA since 2016, Chatwood would be very low on the list of candidates. With a 1.80 ERA on the road, he now the faces the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Padres rank top 3 in the league in strikeouts and haven’t been scoring many runs lately. This is a plus matchup and a good Pitcher to pair with Sale.
Chris Sale, P: $24,300 – Speaking of Chris…Sale is on a roll this season and has reached double digit strikeouts in his last four starts. He is certainly a must start at home vs. Baltimore Orioles tonight. If the Red Sox can finally get him some run support, he should have a good opportunity to get a win. He is the most expensive arm of the night, so lets see if we can find some value hitters.
Justin Bour, IF: $6,300 – The big man is starting to heat up and has hit all of his HRs vs. RHP and gets Alex Cobb tonight who has been bitten by the long ball this season (1.55HR/9).
Jose Reyes, IF: $7,200 – It seemed like he was a couple days away from being benched to let their top prospect get a chance in the bigs, but Reyes has been on a tear the last week. Hitting .420 to go along with 3 HRs, squares off vs. R.A. Dickey who’s FIP is 5.13 and has a 1.53HR/9.
Michael Conforto, OF: $6,400 – Getting a chance to play everyday now with all the injuries the Mets have had, he is making the most out of the thus far. Has absolutely crushed RHP this season (5 HRs .447 wOBA 1.089 OPS); great matchup vs R.A .Dickey.
Corey Dickerson, OF: $7,200 – Off to a great start to the 2017 season and has shown some pop vs. RHP (5 HRs in 65 ABs). Should be able to get on base vs. a very wild and ineffective Edinson Volquez.
Scott Schebler, OF: $7,200 – Scott has 7 HRs in 64 ABs vs. RHP and gets the struggling rookie Tyler Glasnow tonight. Some runs are expected in the game as it has the highest O/U of the night.
Eddie Rosario, UTL: $6,900 – Rosario has an 11 game hit streak, batting .348 2 HRs during that stretch. Sonny Gray is making his season debut vs. the Twins; lets bank on there being some rust.
Matt Carpenter, UTL: $8,100 – Starting to find his power stroke over the last 2 weeks (3 HRs 11 RBIs .970 OPS) and gets to face Wily Peralta. He has mashed him over his career (20/43 3 HRs 1.335 OPS)
I’m Only Happy When it Rains
All the games are mostly clear with no real PPD threats. There is a slight chance for some rain in the CWS/KC game but it shouldn’t be a factor. As always though, make sure to monitor closer to game time.
Doing Lines in Vegas
With Chris Sale on the mound vs. the Baltimore Orioles, the Boston Red Sox are the biggest favorite of the night at -240. Second biggest favorite of the night are the Chicago Cubs at 230, they are facing the Philadelphia Phillies. The O/U in the BOS/BAL is 9 runs, with Sale on the mound Vegas is banking on the Red Sox to score a lot of runs off Alec Asher. PIT/CIN also has an O/U of 9 runs, that’s a battle between Scott Feldman and Tyler Glasnow.
