A Hill O’ Beans is back on top after a couple of weeks in 4th place, nudging MasterofGrond down to second. They hit .311 and scored an RCL-best 60 runs, and also had an ERA under 3. There are still many teams in contention with seven weeks to go, so it should be a fun stretch run.

Check out the Master Standings (you can also access them via the Leagues menu up top) to see where your team ranks in comparison to the other 767 teams through Sunday. The page now includes sortable stats.

EXPERTS: Looks like this league will be a dogfight to the end. Dr. Roto (.329/50 Runs/2.61 ERA) continues to lead by two points over Rudy, with Mike Podhorzer (.331/57 RBI) just another half point back. Grey made his move this week, jumping 2 spots to 4th with a 5.5-point gain, thanks to the top pitching line of the week. He earned 5 wins and 11 saves with a 2.36 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. His ERA on the season dropped to 3.69 from 3.77, its lowest mark since it was 3.66 in Week 9. Zack Greinke (2 Wins/1.42/1.26) and David Price (7 IP/0 ER) anchor Grey’s staff. Clay Davenport (.312/2.77 ERA) jumped 9-and-a-half points, but remained in 11th place. You can find all Expert League unofficial Week 19 stats here.

    I’m coming for you, Rudy!

      Paulie Allnuts says:

@Grey: I think that you and Rudy are ready to compete next year in the ECFB::)

  2. mauledbypandas says:

    woohoo top 3!
Things will get really interesting as the total starts begin to even out.

    thanks for the update Vin

    • A Hill O' Beans says:

@mauledbypandas: Surprisingly, almost all of the top 10 have used just about the same amount of GS so far. I thought there’d be a couple 160+ GS teams near the top, but it doesn’t look that way.

      [read as Vito Corleone]
But, anyway, mauledbypandas, I wish to congratulate you on your team, and I know you’ll do very well; and good luck to you– as best as your interests don’t conflict with my interests.

sorry, too much Godfather last night

      • mauledbypandas says:

@A Hill O’ Beans: You’re right! I just checked the stats and I was surprised to say the least. One of the teams, I forgot which one, is using the tons of closers/streaming starters method. I have always wanted to try this, but I seem to have bad luck when streaming.
….insert break where I go check the stats again
Ahh, it’s your team! Hah. Well kudos to you for working that strategy very well.

I don’t know how my team is holding on, I think I will fall in the rankings pretty soon, but I am trying to stay optimistic.

Good luck the rest of the way!

        • A Hill O' Beans says:

@mauledbypandas: Yeah the streamers, with lots of middle relievers, and a very moveable end of my roster has worked out pretty well for me. As far as closers they’re just sort of a byproduct of the roster setup since my middle relievers keep turning into closers, so I keep trading them so I can get more middle relievers. The circle of life I guess.

Of course, my other RCL team which is most decidedly not streaming is 28th overall too. So anything can work if you do it right.

  3. A Hill O' Beans says:

Thanks for these updates once again Vin!

It’s good to be back on top, and hopefully for more than one week this time. We’ll see though, it’s crazy competitive this year. Should be fun either way.

  4. VinWins

    VinWins says:

Thanks for reading, guys. I think different teams will take their turn at the top, but whose turn will it be at the end?

    • Paulie Allnuts

      Paulie Allnuts says:

@Paulie Allnuts: @VinWins: Vin, we can’t say how good a job you do at this enough. I, for one, am grateful for all of what you do in Razzball, helping to make it the greatest fantasy site in the known universe.

@simply fred: Awesome streaming of NR’s, Fred!

  6. Tehol Beddict says:

Its obvious Beddict belongs with experts. Hes that good

    • Paulie Allnuts

      Paulie Allnuts says:

@Tehol Beddict: If Beddict is that good, he blongs with the ECFBL. The EXPERTS League’s competitive index is blown out vy the best league in RCL history – seeking our 3rd consecutive leader of the competitive index, and looking for a sweep in all cats.

      • @Paulie Allnuts: what’s ECFBL??? it sounds provocative. I have to see the teams Im competing with every day to know what i need to know for victory. I cant be beaten in league play. its a statistical fact

  7. Simply Fred

    simply fred says:

the best should be shooting for the most competitive league–ECFBL!

    • Paulie Allnuts

      Paulie Allnuts says:

      @simply fred: Amen!

  8. MasterofGrond says:

After having a dominant pitching performance the week before, I got let down heavily by basically everybody I trotted out there last week and it bumped me down to #2. I still have room to eke out a few more points in my league, but I think I have a much lower floor than Mustasche^2 and mauledbypandas. Going to really need streamers to pay off down the stretch to win this.

Also, god DAMN at ECFBL. Those guys are nuts.
