Rank Railheads continue to set the pace with 113 points and a 4-point lead over The Fugs (Epic Beardmen Division). panthers_freak (We’ve Got the Runs — Baseball Reasons) is another 2 points back, followed by MattTruss223 (Rube Waddell’s Shiny Objects — Magnificent Mustachioed Men) and captainpyper (RCL 3) with 104. Check out the Master Standings to see how your team compares to the other 575 teams.

La Flama Blanca (RCL 4), who had dropped far down the standings in recent weeks, rebounded with a 19-point gain, moving up 211 spots to 136th. Royce’s Original Recipe team, That’s Not Very Maybin, and Team bjorklund (The Dread Pirate Returns) made nice gains into the top 20, at 15th and 18th respectively.

The ECFBL continues to hold a 2-point lead over everyone else in the League Competitive Index. But, being champion of the toughest league may have to be its own reward, as it is difficult to score enough points to match some of the other league leaders. Current pacesetter Chris (Retro Vertigo) is in 17th, 13 points back.

Expert League: Ryan Carey (Mastersball Carey) held on to first for another week, a mere 2 points ahead of Dalton Del Don (RotoWire Del Don), who rode the top pitching staff of the week to knock 14.5 points off Ryan’s lead. DDD finished the week with 7 wins, 9 saves, and 74 strikeouts, with an ERA of 1.45 and 0.79 WHIP. Stephen Strasburg, Matt Moore, Jordan Zimmermann, Derek Holland, A.J. Burnett, Jeff Samardzija, and Kyle Lohse all had WHIPs of 1.00 or better, while Aroldis Chapman added 4 saves and 8 Ks in 4 scoreless innings. Rudy had a nice offensive week and moved back into third place. His team hit .304 with 54 runs, 8 steals, 19 home runs and 51 RBI. Grey’s most impressive stat this week was a 2.59 ERA thanks to Ryan Vogelsong, Ben Sheets, and the benching of Anibal Sanchez in his AL debut..

    Great, thanks for reading!

  3. Would you trade Pablo Sandoval and Justin Upton for Jay Bruce and Martin Prado?

  4. VinWins

    VinWins says:

I wouldn’t, but I don’t think it would be terrible.

  5. Wake Up says:

Nice! Somebody just woke up my bats. Now let’s get Uggla turned around.

      VinWins says:

@Wake Up, That’s all you’re asking for? Shouldn’t be a problem. I bet he hits twice as many home runs in the next 30 days as he hit in the last 30!

      • Wake Up says:

@VinWins, Ha. I need 5 times as many! And I am betting on it! Always enjoy this post every week.

  6. Paulie Allnuts

    Paulie Allnuts says:

Vin Wins – Maybe this question has been answered, but has it been resolved whether one still gets credit for relief pitchers after the starter quotient has been used up?

Also, Uncle Wilbert’s Daffiness Boys have reached the perfect level of mediocrity. Ranking: 285 out of 576 teams. Can’t get more mediocre then that, folks!

One more question – Trade Beachy for Trout:(

    • VinWins

      VinWins says:

@Paulie Allnuts, RPs still count. Chicago Ashman have been credited with 10 Ks and 6 saves from Aroldis Chapman since they reached the 180-game limit July 23.

You’re up 222 spots in the last 6 weeks. A few more and you will be in the top half of the pool!

As for that trade, I would have thought you would have completely forgotten about it by now.
