It’s with heavy hearts that we bid adieu to the dynamic duo of Halph. That’s right, it is with great sadness that I inform our listening public that Michael Halpern has moved on to the high stakes world of Bird Law. Our once loyal podcast host is needed by our feathered friends. Remember loyal listeners, bird law in this country is not governed by reason. With that said, the one the only Lance Brozdowski will be joining me as my permanent co-host until, he too grows up. I’m Peter Pan y’all, not to worry, old Ralphie ain’t going nowhere. Unfortunately Lance is unavailable until after Thanksgiving, so you got me for at least an episode. In today’s show I touch on Peoria’s stacked Arizona Fall League team. As well as my thoughts on Luis Urias, Mitch Keller, Kyle Lewis, and Eric Filia. It’s sure to be more Endorphin Ralph than you can handle. It’s the latest episode of the Razzball Prospect Podcast.

Hey Ralph, what are your thoughts on Luis Castillo (Reds) vs Forrest Whitley? Higher upside? Higher floor? Your personal preference?

Prospect Podcasts won’t be the same !! But I am certain they will be equally funny and informative.

Again some interesting stuff on the pod. That Braves system is loaded – will be fun to watch in the next few years. Also given me a couple of name I was less familiar with to try and do a bit of research on.

Ralph, I am going to have a read around and try and figure out what the Cubs preview will look like before you write it. Can pair it with some research for my 30 team dynasty.

On the subject of butchering names. My English interpretation of some of the players names and how you pronounce them are miles apart. For instance the first time I heard you say Max Fried I thought the Braves had another pitcher name Max.

Best of luck Halp, hope the career is what you want it to be.

@Ralph Lifshitz:

Watching CL now.

If you get chance either a) switch Liverpool on now or b) watch highlights (obviously don’t know how it finishes).

Ralph: What is your opinion of 3B Rylan Bannon? I had never heard his name until I read a Dodgers minor league All-Star list recently. I liked his numbers, I realize he was old for his level, but his numbers are very similar to his colleged numbers and they are also gloating about his great defense at 3B.

@Halp: SORRY on the misspelling of your name.

Can you give your two cents on Rylan Bannon? as well.

Thanks.

@Ralph Lifshitz: what is “The white nationalist rhetoric”? Like I said, I had never heard of him.

After I saw his name on that list, I saw some highlights videos from Xavier and I noticed little bit of Pedroia (with more pop ) on him.

He seem to be under the radar , I am going to wait a little bit and I think I am going to gamble on him later on the draft.

First time commenting on Razzball but felt it was appropriate.

Best of luck to you Halp. I really enjoyed the podcasts you and Ralph put together and will miss you two working together. Its the only content on the site that I never miss. Perfect blend of being funny and informative while also bringing your own content. All to often “prospectors” regurgitate the same mainsteam opinions.

Best of luck to you in your future and please make a guest appearance from time to time.

Hey Ralph,

II posted this a little too late on your last post, so here it is again.

What are your thoughts on Josh Hader? He is still rookie eligible obviously. I’m in a league where we can keep 15 players and 5 minor leaguers. None of the 15 can be minors, so i only get to keep 5 of these players.

I have:

Josh Hader
Walker Buehler
Dylan Cease
Ryan McMahon
Bobby Bradley
Scott Kingery
Ronald Acuna
Austin Meadows

My thoughts are Acuna, Hader, Buehler, McMahon and Meadows (real in between Meadows and Kingery.)

Any thoughts?

damn, hope this wasn’t a guru-type story. here with halp. and i’ve seen more current pictures of halp (either that or i have a false memory of it) and he’s balder than that. that’s the pre-injuries picture (both teeth/jaw and otherwise). back when he maybe trusted doctors. and yes, often aging counts as “injuries”. hope halp’s ok. did he quit his brick wall posts as well? (being hockey/football season i’m behind on nearly all baseball, starting to catch up now)

what would be awesome if you asked yourself questions/discussion points in a 2nd voice and then answered them (like a vetriloquist but we don’t get to see the puppet of course)

@goodfold2: haha … You have a false memory of that! I have no idea what you are saying, hahah. Brick Wall isn’t going anywhere (hope to have that my entire life) but updates on it might be sporadic in the near future.

@Ralph Lifshitz: and not the gambling potential breeding situation we all (most heteros anyway) seek to engage in but the actual somebody got pregnant and it’s being kept by the mother situation. no small part of males find themselves in the latter (from population stats anyway), that book fear and trembling could’ve easily been written by me had i found myself in that situation. kidding mostly on the title being relevant there, i’m more of the e.m. cioran or d.stanhope mind on my relation to siring anybody.
