What’s wrong with Elly De La Cruz? Only three stolen bases over two weeks into the season. This isn’t the guy Grey drafted. Being on pace for a 30/30 season is so old school. These guys in the stolen base leaderboard below are the real heroes. Look at all these names you could have had […]

We are nearly 10% of the way into the MLB season, high time to make snap judgements on all our teams and every player in the league. So let’s gather around the Festivus table and find the outfielders who have most disappointed us over the past two+ weeks. I thought of searching in the crawl […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Americans (at least pre-tariff Americans) would feel very adept at navigating a slate like tonight, but in actuality, they would be prone to massive bias. There are just too many options and while Americans have been used to plentiful options throughout the past 50 years at least, we are prone to bias as a way […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?On this week’s episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don talk about some players that have gotten off to opposing starts. We begin the show with some guys who have started the season well, and we discuss whether we think Kyren Paris, Tyler Soderstrom, and Easton Lucas are for real. Then, it’s […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Tanner Houck went 2 1/3 IP, 11 ER, ERA at 9.16, and I don’t care how you “fantasy baseball.” You can “fantasy baseball” by drafting catchers early. You can “fantasy baseball” by taking pitchers early. You can “fantasy baseball” by not wearing pants. I do not care. But if you “fantasy baseball” and did not […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! We’re officially halfway through April this week! We’ve got the excitement of surprising starts, the giddiness of percolating breakouts, and, of course, the reality that is starting pitcher injuries. Because, of course, there are injuries. So many Eflin injuries. We hear it every Spring. “I can’t believe how many of my […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy Razzfolx! We’re moving along through April at a nice clip, and already my beloved Minnesota Twins are (almost) the worst team in baseball. Tough to be worse than the Rockies. But we’re there. But it’s a long season — in fact, 90% of the season is ahead of us. If you’re doing well in fantasy, then good. Keep it up! If you’re doing poorly, then don’t worry. There’s 90% of the season left to go!
Please, blog, may I have some more? The theme today is Rapid Fire. Now, I love a good action movie but I’m not talking about the 1992 film, Rapid Fire, where Brandon Lee uses all his skills to slice and dice the aggressors to win in the end. Well, come to think of it, I think that’s EXACTLY what we’re going […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Singing “Jung Hoo” to Stevie Wonder’s Jungle Fever. I got Jung Hoo fever, She got Jung Hoo fever, We’ve got Jung Hoo fever, we’re in love. She’s gone Korean boy crazy, I’ve gone Korean boy crazy– [the Cancel Police take a batter ram to the door, charge in and drag me away] It’s okay! Stop! […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? And so it begins. Not the season, as that obviously started a few weeks ago. Rather, uncertainty and a complete lack of clarity is beginning to rear its obnoxious head this week. It started last week, when it appeared as though Dustin May was lined up to make two starts for the Dodgers. That didn’t […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? With the first few weeks of the season in the books, some hitters are off to surprising starts. But early stat lines can be deceiving. A hot streak in April doesn’t always translate to a breakout year, just as a cold start doesn’t guarantee a lost season. At times, a 4-for-5 Opening Day can lead to a player being hailed as the next Ted Williams but slow down, cowboy. That’s a hot dog at a buffet, not the whole meal. We must dig in and figure out which performances are worth our attention. At this point in the season, some player’s results are either too good for a seller to move at a price a buyer is willing to pay or vice versa. The real fantasy gurus are the ones who can sift through the smoke and mirrors to identify sneaky values and make a play before it’s too late. Today, in our Hitter Profiles, we’re going rapid fire on a handful of intriguing players to decide whether their performance is a steal worth riding or a stumble suggesting regression is looming.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Last week’s article wasn’t as good as the opening week, but I’m still pleased with the results. Zack Littell was really the only dud, but it was nice to see the hitters perform after struggling in the opening week. What’s fascinating about this article is that I had trouble limiting down the streamers. That’s why […]
