Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Last week we looked at MacKenzie Gore’s impressive line of 6 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 13 Ks and wondered if his man-handling of a potent Phillies lineup was a sign of things to come. I moved “Big MacK”, up our Top 100 Starting Pitchers list last week, but […]

Howdy doody, Razzfolx! I’m back from my annual pilgrimage to discover Japan’s finest convenience store food. I had a lot of fried chicken and udon, which paired well with chu hai while sitting under cherry trees.

I’m happy to be back in the saddle for my award-winning (status: pending) weekly article, which I creatively titled “That’s What I Like.” Because I thought, “If I like something, and if Bruno Mars likes something, it’s probably good, right?” I tried searching for “Versace” on the Player Rate but all I got was “Verlander, Justin.” I don’t like that. So I changed my search criteria to “awesome players only” and the following guys popped out.

Usual disclaimer: we are in small sample size season right now. Anthony Volpe is on pace to hit 80 home runs. Tommy Edman is on pace to hit 100 dingers. Like, grain of salt time, right? These players are best served for your teams that are waiting for a superstar to come back from the IL (see all my Acuna teams). Add at your own risk and discretion.

Welcome to the most volatile stage of the season, the early shuffle. Two weeks in, and the stat lines are loud enough to catch your attention but still small enough to lie to your face. It’s the perfect cocktail of confirmation bias and premature panic. Some breakouts are blossoming right on schedule, others are bluffing. We’ve seen enough to start tweaking the board for guys like Aaron Judge who looks like he’s auditioning for a Marvel movie with the way he’s smashing baseballs.  However, this is also where fantasy managers get themselves in trouble by chasing ghosts or giving up on stars too soon. The key is balancing data with discipline. We’re weighing playing time trends, barrel rates, and underlying metrics that signal legitimate growth but we’re not ready to walk away from proven talent just yet. So shuffle up, deal in, and let’s navigate the chaos. The top 100 hitters for the rest of the 2025 fantasy baseball season have moved with some names are rising like rockets while others are sinking like stones.  Let’s dig in.

We kicked off the season with a solid opening week of streamers. Almost all of our pitchers performed well, but the hitters were all over the map. That tends to be the most likely outcome when providing streamers because predicting pitchers is much easier than predicting hitters. It feels strange to say that since the […]

Diamondbacks 1B Tim Tawa (25, AAA) had three walks, three home runs, two steals and zero strikeouts in his first four games, a monster start in all of our Triple-A fantasy leagues. Have to take his Salt Lake outcomes with a grain of . . . skepticism . . . but Tawa has produced throughout his career, which you kind of have to do to make your way as a 5’11” utility type, and the organization has enough confidence in him to use him at the keystone in Ketel Marte’s absence. If he hits, they might try to find room for him off the bench.
