Okay, I’m going to try to show you my 2023 LABR team, but I have to warn you, if your parental controls are too high on your browser, you might not be able to see my team. If, for unstints, you have your Chrome browser at PG-13, you won’t even see Jordan Walker. To help those people, and I’m only going to do this this one time, J*rdan W*lker is my 3rd baseman. You won’t see my shortstop, 2nd baseman or 1st baseman. I’m sorry. So, I took part in the LABR, 12-team, mixed auction this past weekend and I built a team that is dripping in sex appeal. Baseball, like a flower, blooms in the spring. They also share equally effusive PR people. Just the other day I read about how a petunia’s branches gained 15 pounds and was in the best shape of its life. Sure, it’s always good to look at spring training numbers to give you an idea what you can expect from guys during the season — can I draft Jarred Kelenic yet?! Dude is mashing like the ball’s a potato! Players in spring training are facing the top pitchers who are all displaying their best stuff. No one needs time to get warmed up. No one’s trying new pitches or getting a feel for the ball. They are at the height of their game in the beginning of March. Our former commissioner, Bud, once doffed his toupee and tried to have the World Series played in March. That’s the true pioneer of a sped-up game. Forget the pitch clock, just play the World Series at Spring Training. Since these spring training numbers mean so much, I decided to look at some players stats so far:

Welcome to the initial unveiling of our top 100 hitters for the 2023 fantasy baseball season. As spring training kicks off, we will learn more about the young prospects that might make an impact like Jordan Walker or an injury to an everyday regular like Gavin Lux that toss our rankings out the door. However, that is the reality of our fantasy baseball drafts as values will inevitably change. As with any rankings, I always recommend balancing the rankings you like with your own league settings to make adjustments. At the end of the day, I hope these give you some insight and stoke a great conversation. With that preamble complete, welcome to the first edition of 2023’s Top 100 Hitter rankings starting with the top 25!

RHP Kyle Wright is dealing with arm soreness, which might open a window for Bryce Elder, Jared Shuster, Kolby Allard and Mike Soroka. Have to imagine Soroka will get pushed to the front of the line if he ever gets 100 percent healthy and finds his rhythm, but for now, Allard is pitching well in spring to at least keep himself in the conversation. For anyone seeking upside from this opportunity, Shuster makes for an interesting play. A first-round pick in 2020, he’s the club’s number one prospect by a long ways and finished up last year with 48.2 innings in Triple-A.
Please, blog, may I have some more?After seven weeks of highlighting the top 175 dynasty players, we are finally at the finish line of the 2023 Dynasty Rankings. Today is Christmas and Opening Day merged into one fantastical moment as the final 25 players – the Tier 1 group – are unveiled.
What You Won’t See
When selecting from the top dynasty players, I lean heavily towards hitters. So, in this tier, there are only three pitchers, four if you count an athlete who is out of this world.
You also are going to see a lot of players aged 30 or younger. Of the 25 players in this tier, only two players are older than 30. It’s pretty obvious why, but in case you need it explained – you want the top players for as long as possible, so youth is the obvious choice when building a dynasty team.
What You Will See
While Tier 2 features nine middle infielders, this tier is heavy on outfielders – 10 to be exact. These players don’t just hit homers or for average or just steal bases. These are the five- and four-tool players that lead dynasty teams to championships.
And if you have been asking yourself where the top corner infielders have been during the countdown, well they are here as nine corner infielders grace this tier.
With that said, let’s get on with the 2023 Dynasty Rankings: Players 25-1.
