We’re roughly 100 games from the finish line of the 2025 baseball season. If you’re still reading articles like this, congratulations you’ve stayed competitive. But success so far doesn’t guarantee smooth sailing ahead. Now is the time to reassess, get honest about your roster, and make strategic moves to stay ahead of the curve. This week, we’re spotlighting two players who’ve returned solid value but may be standing on shakier ground than their stats suggest. These are the names to consider selling high, ideal trade bait to patch up that glaring weakness in your lineup. As Yogi Berra once said, “If you don’t know where you’re going, you might end up someplace else.” Let’s make sure that someplace is the playoffs.

I’ve yet to have a bad showing in any of my articles this season, but last week was a miss. It’s frustrating to have such a weak week of streamers, but it’s inevitable with how volatile these pitchers can be. We have to chalk it up to the Rockies having their best week of the […]

I guess all of the GMs in Major League Baseball got together and decided that this would be a good week to start calling up some of their top prospects.

The Astros added Jacob Melton to their roster and the White Sox have decided Kyle Teel should actually stop wasting his talent in Triple-A and instead can start wasting it on a Chicago team that is on pace to lose 111 games (but at least that is better than the 121 they lost last year!)

Then there is Jac Caglianone. Drafted with the sixth overall pick last July, the Royals recalled him from the minors earlier this week and instantly slotted him into the lineup.

The move makes a ton of sense as the Royals have the fourth fewest runs scored in the majors, with only the juggernaut teams of Texas, Pittsburgh and Colorado scoring fewer runs. The hope is for Caglianone to provide an instant spark to the offense.

Let’s dive in and see why the Royals think this will happen.

In my previous post two weeks ago I introduced the concept of tracking Squared-Up Rate against Attack Angle to measure the quality of contact. Included in the post was the roadmap of SPs showing which town they lived in: In the two weeks since, we’ve seen Disaster Town residents have bad starts (Jose Soriano, Max […]
