Over the last two weeks, we walked through the top 20 and top 40 hitters for 2024 fantasy baseball season. This week, we come to the midfield looking at hitters rounding out the top 60 for 2024. While injuries have begun to cast a shadow over the spring, the emergence of young talents like Jackson Merrill, James Wood and Spencer Jones add excitement in our drafts and our rankings. This week, we begin to see the field narrowing as the gap between spot 41 and 60 are much closer than our early rankings. This is where leaps are made and risks must be taken. This group is chocked full of upside, dreams and potential while sprinkled with a few reliable veterans. So grab your glove, adjust your draft boards, and get ready to knock it out of the park with this week’s breakdown in our top 100 hitters for 2024.

When AJ Preller was in first grade, his mom always packed his lunch with five baby carrots and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, along with some kind of treat that could be salty or sweet, depending on what was around. AJ didn’t mind the carrots, but he did eventually get tired of eating the […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The beauty of dynasty baseball is that one player can be viewed in multiple ways. This is why rankings tend to get wonky for players once they are outside the top 50 or so.
One of the players who is ranked all over the place is Chas McCormick of the Houston Astros. In my Dynasty rankings I have him at No. 112. CBS comes in with a ranking of #165 for McCormick while the good folks here at Razzball ranked him at #220 and ESPN comes in at 248. So four rankings with a variance of 126 spots.
I can understand the wide difference. McCormick has never been a fulltime player as the most games he has ever played in is 119 and the 457 plate appearances he had last year were a career high. Former Astros manager Dusty Baker refused to put him into the lineup every day last season, limiting his playing time and numbers.
But I think McCormick is being overlooked by a lot of dynasty owners. He isn’t going to carry your team, but he is a solid player who will put up good numbers and be a reason why you win.
So let’s take a look at this week’s Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back to Knights Of The RazzTable. This week I have two guests so sharp they’d be confiscated by TSA. You all know Coolwhip’s work from this very website and, of course, his fire RazzSlam graphics designs (this year’s may be the best yet). Also joining us is Kev Mahserejian, the Roto Surgeon. If you […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome to another week of broken bones and other gross or cool stuff (depending on your outlook)! This week, I wanted to give a shout-out to my RCL league for watching my entire team be decided by autodraft while I was blissfully unaware and knee-deep celebrating the Anatomy of A Fall win of an Academy […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy folks, it’s mid-March and it’s finally really feeling like baseball time! This week we’ll do a spring training check-in and quickly touch on several players whose value may have risen recently or be currently on the rise. Mind you, I’m not using any official data or ADP changes for this exercise, just some quick […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?A week ago, Wednesday, Analytics Anonymous held a special fantasy baseball draft meeting to evaluate how our lessons are being implemented. Specifically, myself, and 11 of my new AA friends, took part in the Razzball Commenter League (RCL) #11. These RCL leagues are 12-team Rotisserie scoring leagues hosted on Fantrax and free for all (there […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? While the 2nd basemen to target is a necessary evil like changing your underwear. This post, well, have you seen the top 20 shortstops for 2024 fantasy baseball? Dude, why did you not draft one of the glorious top top TOP guys? Did you show up late to your draft because they required you to wear pants? I’m hopeful that everyone rosters at least one shortstop prior to getting to the sleepers in this post, and likely two.
Please, blog, may I have some more?We are officially four weeks into the 2024 college baseball season, with SEC Opening Weekend finally upon us. You will no longer turn on your television to find top-ranked Arkansas battling Northwest Southeastern Central New Mexico State Tech. It’s SEC-on-SEC now. It will be fierce. Tigers. Bulldogs. Wildcats. Gators. Razorbacks. Commodores. More Tigers. More Bulldogs. And then you have the Gamecocks of the world. We won’t touch that one. At least not publicly.
Through the first four weeks, SEC stars have been stockpiling statistics against varying qualities of competition. Now, it gets real. But even though the competition has been questionable to this point, a handful of SEC draft hopefuls have begun separating themselves from the pack or significantly enhancing their stock. We’ll get into five such players this week, with more Collegiate Corner updates in store for the weeks ahead.
Please, blog, may I have some more? When thinking about Razzball, I immediately fall to my knees, throw both arms out to the side, and tilt my head back ever so slightly in order to take in the rays shooting out from the whiskers of the one, the only Grey Albright. I have no doubt that he employs Sal Goodman for all […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? What is up party people? We are back in the thick of spring training and draft season. That means rankings are the talk of the town and I am here to guide you. ADP is a guide but it’s also a trap, go get your guy. Fantasy is always way more fun when you have the players that you like to watch. So let’s have some fun and win some leagues.
1) Ronald Acuna Jr – I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t a moment of panic when I heard the news he was going in for some tests on his knee, but thankfully it’s just mild irritation. He’s the best player on the board and, frankly, it’s not even close. I’m taking him first overall 11 outta 10 times.
