With only seven games on the schedule today we’re spending the bulk of our money on starting pitching, because once you get passed the top 3 arms, there’s not a whole lot left.  Clayton Kershaw, $26,700 at Philadelphia and Patrick Corbin, $18,600 at San Diego are on top of the Streamonator and I’m feeling both matchups.  They’re both lefties, the’ye both facing two terrible offenses who strike out more than most teams in the league and they’re the cream of the crop tonight.  It’s Kershaw’s four start coming off the DL, so he should be in a good groove and he won’t be on a pitch count less than a 100 pitches.  The reins should be off tonight and I’m thinking he’ll come away with a W and double digit Ks.  Corbin got rocked for 8 ER in 4.1 innings at home against the Padres back on September 8th.  Look for a monster bounce back game in pitcher friendly Petco tonight, as I’m sure he’s been studying tape. Now that we’ve spent a good chunk on our pitchers. let’s get creative and see what we can do on the offensive side.

Manny Machado, IF: $9,200 – I’m leaning on the Hittertron today and it has Manny at numero uno against Doug Fister.  Manny has been ice cold, so he’s due for a monster night and I’m stacking as many O’s as I can into my lineup tonight.

Hernan Perez, IF/OF: $8,100 – He’s 5/11 with 3 HRs vs Jameson Taillon and he’s got 3 multi-hit games over his last 6.

Greg Bird, IF: $6,400 – Bird, Bird, Bird.  Bird is the Word!  He’s not an Oriole but his last name is Bird.  I like the matchup against Ervin Santana and he already has two long balls against him in his short career.

Chris Davis, IF: $6,000 –  The lowercase Crush has been playing second fiddle to Krush all season, but at this price I can’t pass on him.  Let’s go CRUSH CITY!

Sean Rodriguez, IF: $6,000 – Sneaky little play here, I’m hoping S-Rod can get a few knocks off Brent Suter.

Pedro Alvarez, IF: $5,600 – Looks who back for the O’s!  Hopefully he’s in the lineup tonight because he’s 6/10 with 3 bombs against Fister.  Nothing says, welcome home like a bomb in Camden Yards.

Brandon Nimmo, OF: $6,800 – He’s been quietly getting some knocks and he was riding a five game hitting streak coming into this weekend.

Matt Holliday, OF: $6,600 – Holliday!  We had to go with a few discount bats tonight and he’s another guy who has solid numbers against Santana, 5/12 with 2 Bombs.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Clear skies tonight for all seven games.  Let’s Play Ball!

Doing Lines In Vegas

No surprise as Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers are -340 against the Phillies and Nick Pivetta.  The Oakland and Detroit game 10 o/u barely edged out the game I think that will be the highest scoring, Boston at Baltimore 9.5 o/u.
