Hey hey, party people, we’ve got an exciting slate of action as teams fight for playoff position. Fantasy wise we’ve some guys at great prices, especially on the mound. One of the best options is Carlos Carrasco, SP: $6,800 – What if I told you that today’s number one pitcher was available for basically nothing? Cookie projects to be right up there with the top dogs but for a whole lot less. His price probably has something to do with the 6.94 ERA and I can see why that might put some of you off. However, he has strung together a couple of good starts, which is encouraging. Also encouraging is his match-up today. You can’t beat the value.

Frankie Montas, SP: $9,000 – This is a juicy match-up for a guy coming off back-to-back big games. I really like the value you can get from him at his price. He just dominated a couple of offenses that have been humming so the Tigers should be no problem.

Mitch Keller, SP: $5,700 – Mitch gets a favorable draw by having his start pushed back a day so that he’ll face the Cubs instead of the other team from Chicago. He’s set up to have a very solid outing today, although not quite as strong as the guys in the space above him. There’s still value to be had at this rock bottom price.

Freddie Freeman, C/1B: $4,000 – He’s got a high salary but he’s really good at hitting a baseball and he’s in Coors. That’s good enough for me. If you need more than that he batted .323 with 5 dongs in August.

Carlos Santana, C/1B: $2,800 – The average isn’t pretty but there’s still some power in his bat. He comes with a favorable projection and an attractive price point.

Brendan Rodgers, 2B: $2,700 – What a way to start off September. The bot was clearly impressed because Rodgers is the cream of the crop at second for today’s slate. Take that and run with it.

Jed Lowrie, 2B: $2,500 – Good match-up, good price. He won’t set the world on fire but he’s a solid piece for your squad today.

Austin Riley, 3B: $3,700 – Top dog at the hot corner today, he’s been on a tear since the break. Now he gets to take all that fantasy goodness to Coors? Yep, you want that in your life.

Luis Urias, 3B: $2,400 – Don’t look now but Urias has been putting up some nice games recently. At this price, he’s in play even in what looks to be a tough match-up.

Fransisco Lindor, SS: $3,300 – He’s a thumbs up today. Maybe the boos of the crowd have lit a fire under him and he turns back into the fantasy superstar. He won’t cost you an arm and a leg so take a shot.

Ronald Torreyes, SS: $2,200 – Let’s get wild with it and dive deep. He’s just outside the top 10 for today, which doesn’t sound all that great but he’s dirt cheap and would be a nice contrarian play.

Starling Marte, OF: $3,800 – Marte is in a prime spot to be a star today. I’ll show myself out. But you should put Marte in your lineups.

Joc Pederson, OF: $2,900 – Coors seems like the perfect place to take a shot on a streaky slugger such as Joc. He’s got that big upside that can win contests and his price is low enough that you can balance him out with some safer options.

Andrew McCutchen, OF: $2,800 – He’s not posting a great slash line but he’s flashed some power. His knee seems to be feeling good and that makes him a fine option to round out your offense.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Full speed ahead. The weather report calls for some wind and clouds, nothing that should have a great impact on fantasy performances.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Give me all of Atlanta and Colorado and the over, set at 13. That’s not an unlucky number for fantasy hitters. Get as many of them as you can.
