Athletics starter Sean Manaea ($9,200) has been solid this year with a 3.70 FIP and exceeded expectations with a 25.8% K-rate. Normally he would be a starter to avoid when facing the Astros, but Houston just clinched the division last night. They’re probably going to use their “hangover lineup” tonight, meaning most of their starters will rest. Therefore, Manaea may fall off the radar for many of your opponents who automatically fade him against the Astros. The biggest edge on tonight’s slate is identifying which teams are still in the hunt and which ones will be phoning it in with nothing on the line to play for.

Lance Lynn, SP: $10,000 – Lynn has put together a tremendous season with a 2.72 ERA and a 27.6% K-rate. He gets to finish his regular season against a Tigers lineup with a very high 25.7% strikeout rate against righties, as well as a weak 91 wRC+.

Bobby Dalbec, 1B: $3,000 – Dalbec has a .864 OPS against left-handed pitching, and opposing starter Josh Rogers has a career 2.26 HR/9.

Luis Arraez, 2B: $2,100 – Arraez is a great cash game play as he will be leading off for the Twins at just above minimum price. Arraez is batting .302 against righties.

Justin Turner, 3B: $3,200 – Turner is a strong option in the middle of the Dodgers lineup, where he can drive in lots of RBI. He’s facing Eric Lauer, who has outperformed his 4.17 SIERA this season.

Francisco Lindor, SS: $3,500 – Lindor has finished out the year much better than he started it, with nine homers in the last month while batting .267. His price is still lower than it should be for an elite upside fantasy player.

Nelson Cruz, OF: $3,400 – Cruz is in a cold streak right now but still has an absurd 140 wRC+ against lefties on the year. He will face a southpaw tonight in hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium.

Franmil Reyes, OF: $3,400 – Reyes is an ideal GPP tournament play as his potential to hit a home run is large on any night. Especially against Spencer Howard, who has a disastrous 7.04 ERA.

Eloy Jimenez, OF: $3,400 – Eloy has been much better against righties this year with a .279 batting average and eight homers in an injury-shortened campaign. Jimenez gets to face Wily Peralta, who has a poor 4.84 FIP.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Twins-Royals and Cubs-Cardinals might see some rain headed their way, so keep an eye on any possible delays.

Doing Lines In Vegas

I’d like to see the Mariners continue their miracle run at -150 against the Angels tonight.
