What is going on everyone? I think this is the first FanDuel MLB slate where I have not had at least 10 teams to dig through and woof. Pitching is horrid today at first glance but we take what they give us. Luckily everyone has to deal with this dumpster fire today. Let’s dig into this little 6 gamer that we are working with today.
New to FanDuel? Scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond? Well, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFSBot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray. It’s how we know you care!
Yonny Chirinos, SP: $7,900- Baltimore has been surprisingly effective at times but I think that is more the pitching being poor than them hitting well. Glasnow was wild last night and he ended up being pulled early. Chirinos has some K upside and the Orioles strike out a ton. That is more than enough for me on a day like today.
Aaron Civale, SP: $8,400 – I don’t like recommending anyone against Minnesota but pitching is garbage. I’m making this suggestion largely due to the 15+ mph sustained winds blowing in from left field that will hopefully keep everything in the park.
Salvador Perez, C: $2,800 – Perez is really the only catcher I have any amount of confidence about today and I’m not one to really recommend catchers on Fanduel.
Elias Diaz, C: $2,500- Ok I see you’re demanding another catcher, fine. Elias Diaz in Colorado with reasonable numbers and a little pop on a thin night. Are you happy?
Josh Bell, 1B: $3,200 – I’ll always recommend someone against Lest, just out of spite. Today it’s Josh Bell. He’s been on the Schnied recently and Lester usually starts the season with a dud. Pirates have to hit sometime right? Right? I only really like him as a one-off honestly so stack at your own risk.
Jose Abreu, 1B: $3,000 – Not much explanation needed here. If FanDuel refuses to adjust pricing on White Sox power I will play them every single day regardless of who is pitching. Fade at your own risk.
David Bote, 2B: $2,700 – Bote isn’t going to set the world on fire but he puts up solid stats across the board, he hits lefties well and Pittsburgh has a tendency to give them up in bunches so he’ll be a good addition to tail on a cubs stack.
Jurickson Profar, 2B: $3,200 – Profar is profiling with .361 wxWOBA against similar pitching this year plus you get the added Rockies park benefit. They disappointed everyone last night so I’m going with more San Diego today and hoping for a little recency bias to work in my favor.
Yoan Moncada, 3B: $3,300 – I’m going to keep this one brief, Yoan should be a 4K player right now. He was my sneaky MVP candidate at the beginning of this season and the White Sox overall are smashing right now.
Nolan Arenado, 3B: $4,000- As stated with Story below, we have a 13 run implied total. He is overpriced for what he has delivered so far this season but if you’re stacking this game you have to believe that Arenado has one of his blow-up games in his back pocket very soon.
Trevor Story, SS: $4,300 – Highest projected game on the slate (around 13). It’s going to be super chalk but unless you’re in a large field GPP it’s going to be extremely difficult to fade this game on a smaller slate.
Fernando Tatis Jr, SS: $4,200 – As stated in Dahl’s blurb, I am going overweight on San Diego today and hoping recency bias works to my advantage. Tatis profiled extremely well across the board and all of that power will get him a little further in Colorado.
Willy Adames, SS: $2,600 – Another price mismatch in a day where everyone will be on Colorado and San Diego. He profiles reasonably well against Milone, and we get the added benefit of winds blowing straight out in Baltimore today.
Brandon Nimmo, OF: $2,700- Fanduel hates Nimmo for some reason and that is fine by me. He’s gotten on base every single game this season so he won’t give you a zero, he has power in his bat, and he’s moved up to 1st in the batting order. This price is way too low.
David Dahl, OF: $3,700 – Dalh hit righties extremely well, 6+ run implied total, many folks will be stacking the Rockies, nuff said.
Ronald Acuna Jr, OF: $3,600 – Acuna finally woke up yesterday and I want to jump on this before the price adjusts. He always hits well against other handed pitching and I am hoping that I can get on the beginning of a streak for him before everyone else notices.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
Cincinnati @ Detroit is looking like they’ll have some weather concerns so keep an eye out when building your lineups. The chance for rain is right around 50%. Not an issue for the main slate but if you’re playing all day we might have some issues. All good besides that.
Doing Lines In Vegas
Colorado is getting +120 on the money line right now. I don’t know why the juice is on the Padres but I’m attacking that hard today.
