Here we are folks, we’ve made it to the last Thursday regular season. It’s been a wild ride but the fun isn’t over yet. As you set your lineups, keep an eye on the starting 9 as teams who are out of it or have already locked up their spot may elect to rest certain fantasy relevant players. So with that in mind, let’s get on to some picks.
First up is a value pick for pitcher, Tyler Beede (SP: $6,900) The Rox will be in the Bay this week which should suppress the bombs. Beede hasn’t been stellar this season but he is capable of turning in a strong performance here. At least he can help the Giants close out the season on a high note and pick up some momentum for next season. (That’s how it works, right?) That’s totally how it works and the Giants will roll through the league next year. Anyhoo, that’s a wrap folks. Thanks for playing with us and we’ll see you all back here next season.

Zack Wheeler, SP: $10,500 – Let’s start big. Wheeler is good and Miami is not. Take advantage of one of the best pitching options today and go out on a high note.
Aaron Civale, SP: $8,700 – The Pale Hose are free swingers so there’s some strikeout upside here and that’s worth chasing. Civale hasn’t been a strikeout machine but he has been pitching quite well. This could all add up to a fine outing today and a great option for your DFS squad.
Pete Alonso, 1B: $4,000 – It sure is fun to watch him hit moonshots. Will he lead the league home runs? Tune in to find out.
Danny Santana, 1B: $3,200 – He’s been giving us a nice double double of power and speed. He’s not facing an ace today so there’s no reason why he can’t close out the season that way. Fire him up and see if he gives you some double double action.
Keston Hiura, 2B: $3,500 – He’s had time to shake off the rust from the IL, not that there was much as he’s pretty much been rolling since his return. Hiura is a rising star with 19 bombs in only 80 games. We know he has the power, but he also doubles that up with speed. And did I mention that the Brewers are a playoff team? There’s some great talent around him.
Luis Arraez, 2B: $2,800 – He’s hitting the ball all over the yard, but sadly not out of it. Fortunately he is scoring runs, but I’m greedy and want more counting stats. Beggars can’t be choosers however, especially at the keystone. So fire him up.
Scott Kingery, 3B: $3,000 – I just can’t quit the king. He’s still stealing bases but I wouldn’t say no to a nice power binge. He’s got a tough matchup ahead but I’m feeling lucky.
David Fletcher, 3B: $2,800 – He just keeps on chugging along as the only player who hasn’t hit 30 bombs this season. Okay maybe he’s not the only guy, but it seems like everyone has at least 20 this season. He’s swinging a hot bat so I feel good about starting him today.
Trea Turner, SS: $4,500 – As the Nats push for the playoffs, Turner is certainly doing his part. The recent power display has been particularly encouraging. He’s got all the potential in the world and right now he’s putting it to work.
Kevin Newman, SS: $3,000 – He hit a rough patch but I’m pretty confident that he’ll rebound and be a real asset today. The rest earlier in the week should help him get a nice mental break and refocus.
Juan Soto, OF: $4,000 – As has often been the case throughout the season, Sexy Dr Pepper finds himself among the top options today. As you already know, he’s the total package and has become one of the game’s bright stars. He’s expensive but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a great choice.
Ramon Laureano, OF: $3,100 – Since returning from the IL, Laureano has basically picked up right where he left off. He was a great fantasy option prior to getting hurt and he’s in line to help out your team today.
Franmil Reyes, OF: $3,000 – This past week he’s been on fire. He’s got the power and he should have the opportunity to flash it today.
Aristides Aquino, OF: $3,300 – The bot is in on him today. We all know he’s got power after the binge he went on right after being called up. I’m willing to take a shot on a guy who is more than capable of knocking a couple out.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
The weather report is looking great today. Very minor if any rain is in the cards for us today.
Doing Lines In Vegas
Chase that 11 in Boston today. Some of the other lines are a bit wonky, or not set at all, due to the playoff picture solidifying.
