The Minnesota Twins’ Jake Odorizzi typically is not a top candidate to lead your FanDuel lineup. His 4.42 SIERA and 4.65 xFIP usually leaves you desiring a bit more. But with the top K%, at 25.4%, on the main slate, Odorizzi is in play for Monday. It certainly helps that he is playing on the road where he is allowing a .228/.314/.341 slash line.

It also helps that he is facing the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers’ offense owns a 29.1% K% against righties this season while producing a poor .295 wOBA and 81 wRC+.  Jake won’t mind working on a holiday.

Mike Soroka, SP: $8,400 – The Braves’ starter will face a DH-less Toronto team that is striking out 25.7% of the time against right-handed pitching.

Pete Alonso, C/1B: $4,100 – All your FanDuel builds for Monday should start with Peter Alonso. The first baseman owns a .300 ISO against right-handed pitching this season.

Freddie Freeman, C/1B: $4,300 – Freddie Freeman loves facing righties. He owns a .294 ISO and a .421 wOBA against them.

Gleyber Torres, 2B: $3,900 – Torres’ .220 ISO and .350 wOBA against left-handed pitching in 2019 should grab your attention.

Jeff McNeil, 2B: $3,100 – McNeil’s .391 wOBA versus righties puts him squarely in play against Washington’s Joe Ross.

Eugenio Suarez, 3B: $4,200 – Make sure he is in the lineup after getting hit by a pitch on the hand on Sunday. But if he is in there expect him to rake. Suarez owns a 1.049 OPS against lefties this season.

Josh Donaldson, 3B: $3,500 – This is a smash spot for Donaldson. Not only does he crush righties with a .273 ISO, but also the Blue Jays’ Jacob Waguespack is brutal in righty matchups as he is allowing a 46.2% hard contact rate to them.

Jorge Polanco, SS: $4,000 – The Twins’ shortstop has recorded double-digit FanDuel points in six straight contests. Ride the hot streak for another day. Polanco faces a right-handed pitcher today and he owns a .385 wOBA against those types in 2019.

Amed Rosario, SS: $2,800 – We will continue to pick on the Nationals’ Joe Ross and his 5.36 ERA.

Nelson Cruz, OF: $4,200 – Cruz owns a .300 ISO and a .410 wOBA versus righties this season. With Detroit shuffling Jordan Zimmerman to the bump in this one, it is tough to see a path in which Cruz doesn’t do well.

Ronald Acuna Jr., OF: $4,100 – Acuna is in line for a big DFS day today. He has smashed righties with a .218 ISO. While the Blue Jays’ Waguespack is allowing 1.98 HR/9 to righties.

Michael Conforto, OF: $3,300 – Conforto has been crushing righties all season long. The outfielder owns a .284 ISO and a .391 wOBA versus righties this season. That should continue today as Conforto is 5-for-10 in his career against Ross.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Looks like there could be some rain in New York. But the good news is that it appears that the Yankees and Rangers’ bats appear to be safe in that one. Besides that contests, it looks like a beautiful day for baseball.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Lots of New York Mets made today’s recommended plays so I’ll double down and take the over 4.5 team total for the team from the Big Apple.
