How’s it going Razzfaithful? The outfield board is updated again and here’s a rundown of current trades and expected trades in the coming days:

Randal Grichuk – Traded to Angels. Essentially replaces Taylor Ward who is now out for the season after getting Manoah’d. And he was just getting hot again too, ugh. Grichuk, fortunately, is currently hot and jumps into a much better lineup that will certainly help him get pitches to hit. As he did last night. I actually like this move, but he’s kinda like Hunter Renfroe without the season-to-season consistency.

Mark Canha – Traded to Brewers. Largely irrelevant this season, feel free to ignore.

Tyler O’Neill and Dylan Carlson – Have yet to be traded… but I expect one or both of them gone. The Cardinals have about 12 OF on the roster right now. Once they are, that will immediately move them up my ranks to varying degrees based on team. But each would represent some form of buy. One of the easiest buys in fantasy baseball is a Cardinals outfielder changing teams. Arozarena, Garcia, Thomas, Bader… the league is peppered with post-card breakouts. Footnote: Alec Burleson also drawing interest, which, I personally have less interest in.

Teoscar Hernandez – Likely to be traded. He’s having a quietly productive year, and a move back to Toronto as some whispers suggest would be a big boon for his value, both in roster and environment. We already know what he can do there.

Alex Verdugo – Staying put, so no longer VerduGONE. Status quo. Verduquo? I’ll see myself out.

Jace Peterson – Traded to Snakes. He could be a sneaky batty call here and there down the stretch but probably not worth rostering full time. As always, he’s got a little bit of pop and legs and a propensity to take walks but very mediocre bat-to-ball skills.

AJ Pollock – Traded to Giants. It would be very Giants for Pollock to randomly become productive down the stretch here for no explicable reason despite being largely useless for the last 100ish games. I’ve got my eye on you.

Tommy Pham – Likely to be dealt. He might be one of the more valuable pieces out there that wouldn’t cost much to acquire. And depending on where he lands could be extremely valuable when you consider his underlying contact metrics this season.

Eloy JimenezMarlins are reportedly interested in him. I like this move, for them. This would likely hurt Sanchez. Eloy has slowly been warming up this summer and could get hot in August.

Adam Duvall – What would the trade deadline be without a Duvall trade? Currently drawing interest from the Phillies. Usually, when a player goes to Philly it’s a park upgrade, for him though it’d be neutral. However, the prospect of him having something to play for might aid his schmotato-ness. Obviously pure conjecture, but I got my eye on him as well.

As always, the individual ranks (and to a degree the dollars) don’t really matter, what’s important are the tiers, and more important than that—your roster construction. Any outfielder not listed, consider them tier 5.
