In what was another fantastic week (bias much?) here at Razzball, we passed what is commonly known as the unofficial “first day of summer”. As I mentioned last week, Memorial Day should be the mental marker to start analyzing your team, maybe even to begin to seek out what you need and what that might cost you. That could mean finding possible trade partners, weighing free agency additions, or even doing nothing. All that matters is that you take the time to assess your situation and problem solve it. You should still be in the middle of this process, Rome wasn’t build in a day after all, but with Memorial Day in the rear-view, the “dog days of summer” are on the quickly approaching horizon. (The metaphors in this whole lede is just so next level.) Take that into account, as players will start getting “nagging” injuries, hot starts will soon start to regress, pitchers will start to get aches and pains… you’ll need to be on top of your game even more for these next crucial months.
Follow me after the jump to take a look back at what was week four AND a look forward on all things Razzball, including some player suggestions for next week, straight from Razzball’s Streamonator, Hitter-Tron, and DFSBot!
This Past Week…
J-FOH is back, and he once again updated his Top-100 Hitters, this time with another 267 hyperlinks to music on YouTube. At this point, we should probably start seeking out affiliate status with them. He also updated everyone on the RCLs.
JB Gilpin, never one to be outdone, updated his Top-100 Pitchers rankings and then made a Podcast with Grey. This race seems even folks.
Lance (who’s been nailing a lot of bullpen and speed calls this year) talks about Carson Smith could be the next SAGNOF.
Mike brought you his Week 8 Prospect Rankings and then dedicated his profile to Alen Hanson.
Big Magoo went over Brandon Belt and Chris Heston, telling you which one is trash and and which one is treasure. And then told whether or not Mike Moustakas was a Bear or Bull. He’s actually a moose, to be honest.
Smokey gave you his Bullpen update, Malamoney gave you his Points Leagues update, and Dave gave you his Deep Leagues update. What can I say? Their givers.
In his triumphant return to Razzball, the great Paulie Allnuts started us off on a three-part story of the famous “Gas House Gang” from the 1934 Cardinals. Be sure to check it out.
Next Week…
The Streamonator really loves Rubby de la Rosa against the Brewers, projecting him in the top-10 next week.
The Hitter-Tron has to Plouffe, ranking Trevor Plouffe in the top-25 next week. We should all Plouffe. If you’re wondering what a Plouffe is, here’s an oldie but goldie… the sound a Plouffe makes.
And be sure to check in everyday for our Daily Fantasy content, led by Sky and company. They’ve been bringing you all the tips and strategy you need to win that cash-monies. Our DFSBot is also there to help guide your way to that aforementioned cash-monies. Mmmm, cash-monies.
Want more of the Jay? Don’t we all folks? Don’t. We. All. Well, you, in fact, can have more. AMAZING. I know. You can find Jay enjoying his dig’s over at the Football side of Razz.
