Today marks MLB’s trading deadline where a player could be dealt anytime up until 6pm ET. Late news is always the most difficult to react to, so if you can pay attention up until that time, you may get some deals on guys who move up in the order or pitchers who face an easier […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I don’t have enough spam, give me the Razzball email newsletter!
Weekly Razzball news delivered straight to your inbox.
Guards have Carlos Carrasco, Jhonkensy Noel and now, after their trade yesterday, Lane Thomas. That means they have a Car-Car, JHONK and Lane! You better get out the way! The Guards are changing lanes! Can I be real for a second? I love how competitive the AL Central is. Guards getting guys, Royals getting guys, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! We’ve got roughly 24 hours to go until the (non-waiver) MLB Trade Deadline hits! Here’s hoping your favorite teams don’t unload too much talent and get little to nothing in their returns (Yes, I’m looking at you Blue Jays management). Are your fantasy teams about to get a boost as one […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Folx, it’s RazzBowl time! I know it’s SEO death to start a baseball article with an advertisement for a football league, but we’re kind of in the fantasy baseball abyss and football draft season is starting. If you’re in RazzBowl with me, feel free to give a shout. If you publicly hate football (like Grey) but secretly love a team that plays on the opposite coast from you that is named after a Dolphin (like Grey), let me know who you’re cheering for in the comments. Everybody else who needs a hot add? Look below! We’ve got some useful players and familiar faces this week.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy, y’all! After getting lost on a proverbial Oregon Trail, running out of medicine, and dying of dysentery, I’m excited to be back in the saddle with a new save file and chat about some of the outstanding recent middle infield performances. Tyler Fitzgerald Seems like the most obvious place to begin, because… what? […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Yankees fans put on A Tribe Called Quest and sing, “We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…” Of course, the Yankees have great players; they always do. I’m sorry, I’m not a Yankees fan, but it’s just true. This year […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? When I started writing this column, I assumed the thing that would bother me the most was having pitchers not perform according to how I ranked them. As it turns out, yes, it is obnoxious when guys who I expected to be good go out and lay an egg. And yes, I wince at every […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? With the MLB trade deadline looming, fantasy baseball managers know it will soon be time to look beyond blockbuster trades for hidden gems. As teams recalibrate and make their final playoff pushes or look to test young talent for the future, an influx of minor league talent often comes to the forefront. At this juncture, we start to see some surprise callups that can be real difference-makers, injecting fresh energy and unexpected production into our fantasy lineups. In this week’s Hitter Profiles, we dive into a selection of under-the-radar minor league prospects poised to receive the call and make an impact during the crucial stretch run. Whether you’re contending for a title or searching for keeper league gems, these lesser known names could be key to your future success.
Please, blog, may I have some more? This is always an interesting week to evaluate streamers. We have the trade deadline on Tuesday, and that always makes these rotations unpredictable. It feels like we might have a crazy trade deadline, too, because there are dozens of teams that feel like they have a chance. With that in mind, let’s look at the […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?1. Guardians 2B Travis Bazzana | 21 With Bazzana, the Guardians get their most polished draft prospect in a long time, but he’s not a floor play by any means. At six foot even out of Australia, Bazzana has gotten stronger throughout his career in college ball and added significant impact to his plus-contact profile, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? Those trade engines are fired up early for the July 30 deadline and might just make this entire piece worthless by the time those FAAB runs hit on Sunday night. Hell, just the flurry of moves in the last few days between Randy Arozarena going to Seattle, Austin Hays and Seranthony Dominguez swapping mid-Atlantic locales, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Hey everybody, welcome back to another edition of Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players.
The player I want to focus on this week is not the prototypical player that I highlight. That is because Michael Toglia of the Colorado Rockies is basically a one-tool player.
But that tool – his power – is pretty solid. And when you are looking to add players with upside to your team at this point of the season, you are not going to find too many multi-tool players sitting on the free agent wire or even the trade block unless a team is trading a star for a big haul of prospects/young players.
That is not the case with Toglia. Right now he is owned in only 27% of Yahoo leagues and 9% of ESPN leagues. I think the time is right to jump on Toglia and enjoy the power he is going to add to your team.
Let’s look into Toglia a bit more to see why I consider him an Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player.
