Yesterday, Thomas Harrington (4 IP, 6 ER, 11 baserunners) called up by the Pirates. Thomas Harrington has a legacy membership to Shadyside Country Club. Thomas Harrington does not go by Tom or Tommy because he is prim and proper. Thomas Harrington wears a napkin under his collar while he pitches and calls his grandmother’s”helper” mammy […]

fantasy baseball fun? Oh, you drafted Bailey Ober? Well, pack it up, the season’s over. I kid, I kid, it’s one start, you’ll be fine. In the meantime, pony up to the stream-o-nator and grab a streamer to balance things out (hopefully). Four days isn’t really enough to call a week, but nonetheless, VinWins and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I’m back from Mexico where I enjoyed opening day with a Spicy Cucumber Margarita in my hand. I wasn’t picking up any stolen base targets right away after the draft season, but now it’s time to decide who the guys I might want to look at in daily leagues are where a steal could be […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Drafting season is basically in the books. It’s now officially time to take victory laps on all your great picks. No, one half week of a 162 game season is absolutely not too soon. I drafted Wilyer Abreu as an afterthought 5th outfielder on a Main Event team and he has made Red Sox Nation […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Grey and B_Don are back to talk about the start of the baseball season. It didn’t fail to entertain as there were some big scores put up, as well as some interesting headlines. The Yankees are using torpedo bats, but do we think it matters? Would we avoid the Yankees or anyone else for the […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?“So, that’s how he was good last year!” is what a lot of people will be saying now. I may be one of those people. A lot of people will be asking, “Jurickson Profar, why did you cheat?” And to those people I will be saying, “Did you see how bad he was prior to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! What A Gore-geous Opening Week! It’s been chilly in these parts for the past few days, but having baseball back is enough to melt even the frostiest of hearts. I wrote a lot of this on Saturday afternoon, then edited it last night after my AL-Only home auction draft finished, so […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Time to shift gears. Draft season is over. Now it’s time to manage your squad to a fantasy Championship. The first rule: don’t ever be content with your position. No matter if you’re currently in 1st, 8th, or 12th place, there’s always work to be done. Never stop trying to make your team better. That’s our […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Inner monologue, “Stop thinking about how you went Elly over Aaron Judge in every fantasy league. It’s not going to do you any good. Though, seriously, every single league? You want to stop thinking about that, but did you ever stop to think in the 1st place?” Dah! So, Aaron Judge (1-for-1, 4 runs, 2 […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Baseball is back, and the Cookie Shop is once again open for business! Why a cookie shop? Because there needs to be some sort of hook for this column, and I bake a lot of cookies. So, while there is the obvious and straightforward description given for each tier, each is also assigned a type of cookie. […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?We are a full three days into the regular season and rolling into our first hitter profiles of the 2025 campaign. While it’s still very early, any reaction to actual performance should be taken with a significant grain of salt. Managers have invested heavily in their high-round picks, and even with slow starts, it’s important to give those players a chance to earn their keep. On the flip side, these early free-agent days are often when savvy owners make moves by cutting the last player on the bench for a flier showing increased skill or playing time. This week, we’re jumping around the league over the first few days of the season to dissect lineup choices and how they impact the value of our hitters. Spring training often gives us a glimpse of managerial preferences, but once the regular season starts, we get a true feel for where a player will hit in the lineup. Buckle up for this quick-hitter version of hitter profiles as we circle the bases like the Yankees facing Nestor Cortes.
Please, blog, may I have some more? How good does it feel to be back to baseball? We’ve been off for five months, but it feels like it’s been years. I’ll be providing my typical streamers piece every week, as I’ve done for the last five years, and I can’t wait to dive into it. With that in mind, let’s take a […]
