We’re nearing the 40% mark of the season, which means our favorite pitchers are fully loose and getting all sorts of problems with their shoulders and [reads notes] A4 pulleys. OK! Everyday, we learn something new. Today, I’m going to teach you the following: the Electric Slide, the G.O.A.T. recipe for yakisoba, and also, what an A4 flexor pulley tendon is. I’m not even sure I wrote that last part correctly, but I’ll trust the editors to fix it up.*

*Editor’s Note: Budget cuts have led to our dispossession of a copy of Grey’s Anatomy, both the book and the first season on DVD. Without McDreamy, we have no compass to guide our knowledge.

The future is now in Cincinnati. Entering play Sunday, the Reds are 6 games out of the NL Central lead. They’ve called up top pitching prospect Andrew Abbott as Hunter Greene deals with some hip stiffness. Big bat Christian Encarnacion-Strand awaits an MLB call-up. The Reds are enjoying a hot start from shortstop Matt McLain, […]

The Reds are calling up their sensational left-hander, Andrew Abbott, and I’m going to have a tough time not playing him tonight.  Abbott is the minor league strikeout leader. He faces MLB’s worst offense against lefties in the Brewers. Somehow he’s just $4,000 on DraftKings. Now that we’ve ticked the first box, let’s see where […]

Yesterday, the Dodgers called up Jonny DeLuca. He’s been tearing up Triple-A, which is pretty impressive for a studio enforcer who’s having an affair with Lana Turner. Jonny DeLuca’s got all the photogs on call, and, yeah, see, he’s got pics of your favorite movie stars in ways you don’t wanna see them, see. He’s also got solid power and speed, and had a 15% strikeout rate in Triple-A, so the contact is there too. Think he might be more of an NL-Only or deeper mixed league guy for now, but worth monocling. Unless you wanna see your dame splashed all over Look! magazine. Also, the Cards are calling up Luken Baker, but, if you’ve seen him, he looks exactly like Adam Dunn. In the minors, he even wore his number.

The weather has turned and our top 100 hitters are sizzling as June kicks off for our fantasy rosters. Looking back to last June, we had standout performances such as Jon Berti’s 18 steal month or Kyle Schwarber getting ready for the Home Run Derby with 12 dingers. This June, we welcome back Jordan Walker to the big leagues and anticipate the debut of Elly De La Cruz, while other players such as Manny Machado find their way back from injury. Going out with a few bold predictions this month myself, I see Giancarlo Stanton coming off the IL swinging to the tune of 13 homers while Ronald Acuna Jr. nabs 12 bags to lead all players. I’m addition we go to London and watch the Cardinals sweep the Series against those Cubs. Without further ado, here are the Top 100 Hitters for the rest of the 2023 fantasy baseball season.

Outside of Alex Wood, we were pleased with the results of last week’s article. Late Night LaMonte Wade had a big week for us, and we also got a gem from Edward Cabrera. It was one of my best weeks in my season-long leagues as well, and I am excited to keep rolling here. With […]

Mariners RHP Bryan Woo made his debut Saturday in Texas against one of baseball’s best teams, and it did not go well. A lot of rookie pitchers struggle in their first start, so we should avoid Tom Smykowski’s Jump to Conclusions Mat here, especially on the road against a good offense.

SS Royce Lewis looks like a mid-lineup mainstay in Minnesota. Don’t say that five times fast. 2B Edouard Julien is the odd man out for now but appears to be settling into his skill set at the highest level, even if he’ll spend the foreseeable future a level below that.

After going through some new league averages for pitchers and batters last time, this week we will tackle updating for park factor changes, using Statcast. I will caveat that 2023 still offers a small sample on ballpark factors and the hottest months of the summer haven’t arrived in places like Baltimore and Cleveland, both have […]

Welcome back to another edition of Top Dynasty Keepers.

The past two weeks have featured two young hitters in Nolan Gorman and Christopher Morel. So this week I am going to focus the spotlight on two rookie pitchers. The first is Eury Perez of the Miami Marlins and the second is Bobby Miller of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

If you have been reading my articles for a while, then you know my love of young hitters over young pitchers. But in dynasty leagues you still need young pitching to help build your staff for future seasons. Perez and Miller are both pitchers you can build a staff with.

Time to Shine

The Marlins signed Perez out of the Dominican Republic in 2019, and thanks to COVID it took until 2021 for him to make his professional debut. When Perez finally made his first pro pitch, he had added close to four inches and 45 pounds to his frame.

Despite being only 18-years-old, an age in which he would be in high school if he grew up in the United State, Perez dominated hitters on two different levels of A ball that season.

As for Miller, after being drafted in the 38th round by Baltimore out of high school in 2017, he decided to attend Louisville and didn’t join the starting rotation until midway through his sophomore season. He then only made four starts in 2020 when COVID shut down the college season.

Despite few starts in college and some concern about his delivery, the Dodgers jumped at the chance to draft Miller, nabbing him with the 29th overall pick in 2020 and handing him a bonus of more than $2 million.

Let’s dive more into each player.
