Corbin Burnes was traded to the Orioles, and, only a few days earlier, Peter Angelos sold the Orioles, saying to the new owners, “Treat this team with the respect she deserves. Every part of her. Down to the staples on this contract. By the way, if you don’t need the staples, I usually take them out and save them so I can use them again down the road. Crazy the amount of people that discard perfectly good staples. I have one staple I used on a court document — someone was suing me for back pay — and I used that one staple, like, sixteen more times.”

Who were the real fantasy baseball risers and fallers from the 2024 MLB free agency this offseason, you ask? The real winners of the offseason, of course, were Shohei Ohtani, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the devil since the Dodgers clearly made a deal with him to get Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernandez, and Yoshinobu […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?Four score and seventeen-hundred rankings posts ago, my Fordfathers said, “Stop calling us Fordfathers, you idiot, it’s forefathers.” In order to form a more perfect fantasy baseball ranking system, we stopped ranking for fantasy baseball and simply said, “Eff it, let’s just let Grey rank 500 or so Mr. So-and-So’s.” Or, more succinctly, the top 500 for 2024 fantasy baseball.
Please, blog, may I have some more?1. OF Wyatt Langford | 22 | AAA | 2024
A Texas-sized gift at the fourth pick in a loaded draft class, Langford laid waste to the minor leagues one level at a time, stopping at the complex league for three games before moving along to High-A for 24 games, Double-A for 12 games, and Triple-A for five games. He dominated at every level and might force an opening day debut with a good showing in spring training. He’s listed at 6’1” 225 lbs and doesn’t have much (if any) physical projection remaining, but that’s mostly irrelevant for a guy who has plus power and speed generate elite outcomes as is.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Hello, all you brave, courageous, adventure-seekers, you’ve found the wrong website. This is fantasy baseball, not fantasy role playing, unless it’s fantasy roll-playing and this is Stratomatic, but that’s still not right. Still, fantasy baseball. Good, now that we got rid of all those people wearing fedoras and shopping from the Indiana Jones collection at Eddie Bauer, we can get down to the bidness. The Auction value bidness? Not quite, but you can find all auction values in Rudy’s rankings — one example, 12-team mixed league auction values. This is a top 100 for 2024 fantasy baseball. Let’s do this!
Please, blog, may I have some more?A little peek behind the curtain, I see my job here (for 4 years now) as highlighting inconsistencies in pre-season draft value for you, our faithful readers. I try my best to use my baseball knowledge to point this out. And in my experience, it’s always interesting how certain players garner a lot of helium […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?On this week’s Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don continue the positional rankings for 2024 with 2B. Who will be the player we compare to everyone this week at the position? The guys differ on how they view the 2nd tier at the position, but agree on the names there in Jose Altuve, Matt […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? This is the top 100 starters for 2024 fantasy baseball? This is the top 100 starters for 2024 fantasy baseball! Which means. Dot dot dot. This is the end of the 2024 fantasy baseball rankings. I can reclaim my fingers! Wait, I still have to do the top 100 overall and top 500 overall. Hmm, that was short-lived.
Please, blog, may I have some more? When I asked Grey to change formats for this year, he had one condition: crippling flatuence. He also had one stipulation: “Crank up the drama, mama!” With that in mind, it’s time to save your team and bait your clicks with my Hall of Fame takes.
Here’s my thinking. For the past three years, I’ve been telling you who the “Top 100 Starters” are/were/would be/could be. Given that only like 35 starters actually produce positive fantasy value and the rest are just Win fillers, knowing who not to draft is critical. This year, I’m handing off the Top 100 Starters to Marmos, who I suspect is related to Oli Marmol.
Marmos starts the Top 100 Starters soon — next week, I think? ENYWHEY. To welcome him to his new role, I’m introducing y’all to the WORST starters to draft for 2024.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Looking at the overall 2024 fantasy baseball rankings, the top 80 starters for 2024 fantasy baseball is from around 200 overall to 275 overall, which is just about the end for 12-team mixed leagues.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back to Hitter Profiles for the 2024 fantasy baseball season. Last week we covered the NL East and this week we head over to the NL West. This division is a tale of two sides with the Dodgers juggernaut and Diamondback hopefuls leading the way. Seriously the entire starting nine and pitching staff are being drafted as fantasy starters in LA. The other side is a bit more dreary as the Padres and Giants hope to sniff relevance and the wild card (ohh yea…the Rockies play here too). With the hot stove cooling off, the NL West has plenty of interesting options to consider for our hitter profiles. So without further ado let’s walk through the boom and bust candidates in the NL West!
