That’s right DFSer’s, you read that correctly, it’s Discount Double Check time! I’m not too thrilled with the pitching slate tonight, so instead of payin’ top dolla’ for some so-so matchups, I’m going grab a couple under the radar guys and lots of offense. First up on the Blue Light Special, we have Jake Junis, SP $11,100. Last Week, he came out of nowhere and threw up 31.60 points against a strong Seattle Mariners team. He went 8 IP, 1 ER and 7 Ks, not too shabby for a guy who is going for a little more than my top offensive picks for tonight. He’s facing an Oakland team who is one of the worst in the AL and they lead the league in K’s vs RHP. He doesn’t have the home cookin’ on his side, but he is in a very good pitchers park. Let’s hope this Blue Light Special goes all Blue Streak and delivers a gem for us at a discount. Matching up nicely with JJ is Jerad Eickhoff, SP $15,600. J-Rad has the lowly Padres in San Diego tonight, Yes, Please and Thank You. He threw up a juicy 27 points against them last month in Philly, so I’m hoping he can surpass that tonight in pitcher friendly Petco. Now that we’ve scrapped the bottom of the barrell for our starting pitching, let’s have some fun and spend some cash on offense.

Jose Altuve, IF: $10,800 – One of the few Non-Coors plays tonight. Altuve is facing Zack Greinke tonight and he’s rocking a solid 9/18 with a HR, 4 RBI and 2 SBs. Altuve has been doing his thing all year and with all the injuries in Houston, he’s stepped it up to put his name in the AL MVP discussion.
Matt Adams, IF: $8,000 – Skinny Adams has been pretty quiet since Freddie came back, but I have a feeling a visit to Coors just might get him back on track.
Mike Napoli, IF: $6,900 – Party at Napoli’s! He’s facing Michael Fulmer who is fresh off the DL. His 4/8 and 2 HRs vs Fulmer doesn’t hurt.
Brandon Phillips, IF: $6,800 – Dat Dude BP. This is a sneaky play at this price, especially in Coors. He’s going for his third straight game with a HR.
Giancarlo Stanton, OF: $11,200 – What else is there to say right now? He’s hit 9 HRs over his last 10 games. Dude is straight EN FUEGO!!!
Charlie Blackmon, OF: $11,200 – It’s going to Bombs over Baghdad tonight with Julio Teheran on the mound in Coors. Chuck Nasty has been quietly putting himself in the NL MVP discussion and there’s no reason he shouldn’t be.
Ender Inciarte, OF: 7,500 – Another sneaky play in Coors and he’s 4/8 vs Chad Bettis.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
There’s a 15 % chance of showers in Coors, but I’m not worried about it. The rest of the schedule is looking beautiful, blue skies all around.
Doing Lines In Vegas
Jose Quintana -200 and The Cubs are the lead dogs versus the Reds tonight. No surprise here as the Colorado and Atlanta game is set to be the highest scoring at 12 o/u.
