On a night were aces such Corey Kluber, Chris Sale, Dallas Keuchel and even Jose Quintana in a great match-up are taking the mound ; it is key to be able to pair up one of those studs with a valuable streaming options. This way you can afford some quality bats to go with your top arm. One option that stands out to me is Ariel Miranda (12,900), the lefty has been inconsistent all year but has a great opportunity to produce tonight. Oakland A’s are one of the worst hitting team against south paws, carrying a .236 AVG and .683 OPS. By no means is Miranda a safe bet but he has significant value in a great match-up. Oakland ranks in the bottom ten in runs scored and are in the top three in strikeouts. That makes for a great streaming option, also allows some wiggle room to fit in one of the aces taking the mound.

Joey Votto, IF: $10,500 – On absolute fire right now and has a great match-up against Luis Pedromo, who has had his troubles versus lefties (.381 wOBA, 895 OPS). Worth every penny of his high price.
Javier Baez, IF: $8,400 – On fire over the last week ( 3HRs 1.300 OPS), has been wearing out LHP with a HR every 11.5/ABs. Soft tossing LHP Ty Blach isn’t a huge strikeout threat which should play out well for Baez.
David Freese, IF: $8,000 – Has always been able to mash LHP throughout his career and it is no different this year as he has tallied an OPS of over 900. Fantastic match-up vs Matt Boyd, who has been getting crushed by righties.
Rougned Odor, IF: $6,800 – Has done all of his damage with the long ball this season and almost all of them have been against RHP (22/24 HRs). Chris Flexen is taking the mound for Mets and he has failed to get pitch into the 4th inning in both of his starts and has allowed 9 runs in 6 innings of work. Play your Rangers!
Odubel Herrera, IF: $6,300 – Julio Teheran has been awful at home (6.91 ERA) and Herrera has been tearing the cover off the ball for the last month now (6Hs 1.062 OPS). Teheran has been serving up the long to opponents so Odubel figures to get some chances to rack up points.
Nick Williams, OF: $7,600 – The rookie has done nothing but hit since getting called up, has a nice match-up versus struggling Julio Teheran. Williams has shown some power versus RHP (.848 OPS) and Teheran is rocking a 1.93HR/9 vs. Lefties.
Nomar Mazara, OF: $8,100 – Going to be slotted third for a line-up that figures to get a lot of scoring opportunities. As I mentioned earlier, Chris Flexen is taking the mound and that should be good for all Rangers hitters.
Eddie Rosario, OF: $6,600 – Value bat that has shown the ability hit RHP (.809 OPS), also isn’t Matt Garza overdue for a start that he gives up 2-3 HRs and 5-6 runs, I believe so.
I’m Only Happy When it Rains
Mostly clear forecast on the slate tonight, we have a slight chance of rain in the ATL/PHI game. Its about a 15% chance at first pitch, game should be good to go but as always monitor closer to game time.
