Alright, maybe Ross Stripling ($9,100) isn’t that cheap, but I still think he should be a bit more expensive. Sure, his Points Per Game aren’t as high as the others on the slate, but he’s got five straight starts of 42+ FanDuel points. Your options tonight are a super-expensive Corey Kluber, a middling Charlie Morton ($9,600) or Ross Stripling. Paxton is facing the Red Sox, no thank you and I just can’t get behind Gio Gonzalez in Toronto. Stripling is at home against he rival Giants who will be without Evan Longoria after the broke his hand. San Fran is currently the third most strikeout prone team in MLB and Stripling with his 10.8 K/9 should take full advantage of that. Save a few bucks and take some shots on offense with Stripling.

Reynaldo Lopez, SP: $6,700 – If you want to get real crazy and stack some bats, Reynaldo Lopez is the play. He’s punt price but with some actual upside. I can’t figure this guy out, I’ll be honest. He seems impossible to trust, but maybe he’s just a pitcher who will outperform his peripherals. Either way, he’s at home against the Tigers, minus Miggy. I’ll take my chances there in a GPP and hope he doesn’t kill me while my bats carry me.
Eric Hosmer, C/1B: $3,700 – I usually enjoy targeting pitcher coming off the DL for the same reason I usually avoid throwing them in my lineup the first game back, you never know what to expect. SunTrust park is made for lefty power (think Freddie Freeman) and I think Hosmer might get a mistake or two from the rusty Tehran.
Eric Thames, C/1B: $3,300 – I’ll take the platoon advantage in Miller Park from a power hitter all day, every day. Also, who knows, he could be hitting leadoff again! Crazy Counsell
Yoan Moncada, 2B: $3,200 – Moncada is the ideal GPP player. You could get 2 HRs and a SB, or an 0-4 with 4 Ks.
Rougned Odor, 2B: $2,300 – When you just need a guy to fill a spot that could maybe do something, Odor is that guy.
Jake Lamb, 3B: $3,400 – Lamb v. Lugo and Lamb has the platoon advantage. Lamb also has 3 HRs in his last 6 games. That’s a hot Lamb…Lamb curry?
Matt Duffy, 3B: $2,700 – Duffy has been pretty hot himself. While he doesn’t hit for a lot of power he’s still had games of 15+ and 18+ FanDuel points in the past week. With a HR yesterday he’s one hot schmotato. He also gets to face a Jonathan Loaisiga today.
Manny Machado, SS: $4,200 – I’m only listing one SS because I can’t think of any reason to play someone other than Machado today. He’s at home against Jose Urena. He’s a top 10 player in baseball and he’s cheaper than Trevor Story. Huh?
Bryce Harper, OF: $4,400 – Give me all the Bryce Harper vs. Aaron Sanchez in Toronto. Actually, all of the Nats OF is in play here, Soto ($3,800) and even Adam Eaton ($3,700).
Starling Marte, OF: $3,600 – Pick on Matt Harvey while you still can. You have no idea when he might end up getting the Homer Bailey treatment.
Joey Gallo, OF: $3,000 – Similar to Moncada where you might get 20 points, or you might get 0. Great for GPPs, not so much for cash, but I like his chances against Bettis in Texas.
Aaron Altherr, OF: $2,400 – Sometimes you just need a cheap play to round things out. Altherr gets the Miller treatment and faces Brent Suter. Suter isn’t the worst pitcher on the slate, but he’s no one to fear either. Altherr hasn’t been lighting it up, but should at least get to face the lefty here.

Doing Lines In Vegas
Corey Kluber and the Indians are the biggest favorites on the night (-235) but Charlie Morton and the Astros are right behind (-225). Even more reason I don’t want to pay up for Kluber tonight. The highest over/under is 11 runs in the COL@TEX tilt. That’s a Coors Field over/under right there! Stack your Rockies and Rangers!
