Kenta Maeda ($7,300) appeared to be left for dead this season, until his start last time out where he struck out 10 batters in six scoreless innings. If we can see more of this level of performance, Maeda will be an extreme value at such a low salary. He has a high ceiling against a Tigers lineup that strikes out 26.2% of the time against righties, the second-highest rate in all of baseball. Maeda is an ideal tournament starter who can smash the slate with another great start.

Taijuan Walker, SP: $9,500– Walker is an ideal cash game starter as he has a strong floor against the Pirates. Pittsburgh has been the league’s weakest lineup against righties with a .289 wOBA. Walker is cruising with a 2.44 ERA and a 3.07 FIP this year, so he’s as safe as they come in this matchup.

Matt Olson, 1B: $3,700 – Looking to add to his total of 21 home runs this year, Olson has great odds at a homer against Jordan Lyles, who has a 1.69 HR/9 and a 5.07 FIP. He is also easily stackable with other A’s bats such as Ramon Laureano ($3,500) and Matt Chapman ($3,400).

Jean Segura, 2B/3B/SS: $3,100 – Segura is batting .321 with a 124 wRC+ leading off for the Phillies and will be in a hitter-friendly park in Boston. Opposing starter Garrett Richards is getting lit up with a 7.89 ERA over the last month, so Segura should see many scoring opportunities.

Josh Donaldson, 3B: $3,100 – Donaldson appears to be back at full health just in time for a matchup with Matt Manning. Manning clearly should not be in the big leagues with a 7.94 ERA.

Xander Bogaerts, SS: $3,600 – The American League’s starting shortstop in the All-Star Game is in a smash spot against Vince Velasquez, owner of a 4.98 FIP. Bogaerts is batting .326 over the last month and is in a prime RBI position batting cleanup for the Red Sox.

Cody Bellinger, 1B/OF: $3,300 – Bellinger has had an abysmal season, but he’s only 25 years old and hit 47 home runs just two years ago. This is an opportunity to buy low and get elite power upside at a low cost.

Andrew Benintendi, OF: $2,600 – Another starter to target is Cleveland’s Triston McKenzie, who has a brutal 6.38 ERA this season. Benintendi will bat second against him and can be used as a cheap piece of a Royals stack or a standalone salary saver.

Tommy Pham, OF: $2,500 – It’s surprising to see Pham so affordable when he’s batted .317 with five homers and three steals in the last month.

It’s best to double-check before lock, but it doesn’t look like anywhere should have a delay or postponement.

Doing Lines In Vegas

The Marlins look like good value at +107 with Zach Thompson pitching, as he’s got a pristine 2.26 FIP through five starts.
