Tonight’s starting pitcher selection comes down to Shane Bieber ($12,000) or Gerrit Cole as your ace. The DFSBot prefers Bieber, and he is easier to roster as the cheaper option. Bieber has an absurd 57 strikeouts in 36 1/3 innings with a 2.48 ERA this season. If you include last year, Bieber has a 1.90 ERA over his last 17 starts with a 40.5% K-rate. While you’ll have to find cheaper bats, it’s tough to pass up this type of ceiling from your starting pitcher.

Robbie Ray, SP: $7,100 – It’s risky to fade the top two starters on the slate, but the payoff from a much cheaper starter like Ray returning the top start of the night would be massive. Ray looked promising last time out with nine strikeouts and zero walks in six scoreless innings. He’s facing the Braves, who have been abysmal against lefties in 2021 with a .223 wOBA and a 31.6% K-rate.

Willson Contreras, 1B: $3,400 – Contreras has five home runs in his last 15 games and should keep up the power output in a hitter’s park in Cincinnati. He’ll be batting second against a lefty in Wade Miley, and he’s been much better against left-handed pitching in his career with an .880 OPS.

Marcus Semien, 2B/SS: $3,300 – The Blue Jays are a top stack option against Drew Smyly, who has been roughed up for a 7.20 ERA in three starts this year. Semien should be in the top of the order for Toronto against a southpaw, as even in a down year in 2020 he still posted a 115 wRC+ versus lefties.

Gleyber Torres, SS: $2,400 – Gleyber is down bad this year, but this is the price point where he can provide enormous value. Torres is still batting third for the Yankees and only striking out 18.4% of the time. As a player who hit 38 home runs at 22 years old in the last full season, bet on the upside.

Giancarlo Stanton, OF: $3,700 – Stanton and Torres are an ideal pairing as they will have positive correlation batting together in the lineup. The Yankees should pop off against Tarik Skubal, owner of a 5.21 ERA, and Stanton is batting .313 over the last two weeks.

Nick Castellanos, OF: $3,500 – Castellanos has been one of the best outfielders in fantasy this season, slashing .308/.351/.626 with seven home runs. He is also in a great spot for runs and RBI batting third in the Reds order as an underpriced bat.

Randal Grichuk, OF: $3,200 – Grichuk’s production has slid under the radar, as he’s got a 134 wRC+ and has been batting cleanup for the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are a strong value stack tonight.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Looking like clear weather all around tonight.

Doing Lines In Vegas

I like what John Means has been doing for the Orioles with a 3.36 FIP and a 25.4% K-rate, so Baltimore is interesting at +120 against the Athletics.
