After taking RCL player of the week last Tuesday, I followed that performance up with an absolute disaster of a week across most of my fantasy leagues. Fortunately, I cashed very nicely all week in both DFS and straight MLB bets to make me feel better about my Roto declines. Let’s keep that streak rolling tonight!

I’ll be bringing you my DFS picks for the main evening slate on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023. If you play on DraftKings, it is a 11-game slate starting at 6:05 Central time. This article will be primarily focused on the DraftKings slate, so if you play on Fanduel I encourage you to sign up for the DFS tools to help you make the best decisions for your lineups on FanDuel, DraftKings, and Yahoo.

New to DFS?  You can start playing right now on FanDuel and put our picks to the test.  If you’re scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFS Bot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray, it helps support your Razzball team!

Justin Verlander, SP: $7,300. Much like a weekend with Kate Upton, Verlander has been up and down and up and down every other start this season. According to the pattern, he should be due for a limp one tonight in Houston. That being said he looked locked in against the Yankees in his last start and while clearly on the decline I think a bit of mini-vintage Verlander could be coming. I also like a weekend with Kate Upton.

Gerrit Cole, SP: $10,900. There have only been four outcomes for Cole this season. He allows either 0,1,2 or 5 Earned Runs. He matches up well against the strikeout prone Seattle Mariners in the Bronx tonight. His last outing was his only one of the season with zero walks and he only has allowed one free pass in his last twelve innings. I think the control is coming around as his walk rate was over 3BB/9, and is dropping closer to his career average of 2.34. Get some Cole in your stocking tonight.

Tyler Stephenson, C: $3,500. After a horrific start to the season, Tyler has gotten back on track and has raised his batting average up to .249. He also has 3 Home runs in his last 13 games so the power stroke has worked its way back. He’ll tee off against Kyle Freeland and the Rockies in the Coors of the Ohio Valley.

Christian Walker, 1B: $4,400. Walker got hot over the weekend and on Monday recorded his 4th straight multi-hit contest. He has three Home Runs in his last five games and was #9 on the 7 day player-rater last week. He’ll get Colin Rea and the Crew tonight in Milwaukee.

Ketel Marte, 2B: $5,000. It’s only mid-June, but Marte has almost matched his production from the last two campaigns. He has 9 double digit performances on Draftkings in his last 15 games. The Snakes are scoring in Milwaukee for the second night in a row.

Jeimer Candelario, 3B: $3,500. The Candy Man put up his 4th straight multi-hit game as he shows no ill effects of the bone bruise he suffered over the weekend. The Nationals will host Jordan Montgomery and the Cardinals tonight.

Aledmys Diaz, SS: $2,000. Hoping for some cheap hits here as Diaz has a 4 game hit streak and will face Aaron Civale in Cleveland. He has an OPS of just .554 so how about a single, a walk, and a stolen base? Methinks I does dream too much.

Corbin Carroll, OF: $5,700. Carroll has hits in 11 of 15 games, and double digit points in 9 of those contests. Carroll has turned out to be the real deal with a .975 OPS and 15 Home Runs here in Mid-June. Carroll is running away with the NL Rookie of the Year.

Christopher Morel, OF: $4,500. Guess who’s hot again? The Mushroom man hit 4 Home Runs last week and was #7 on the player rater last week. The Cubs will face the Pirates in Pittsburgh and Johan Oviedo. Morel is 3 for 8 off him so far in his career.

Brian Anderson, OF: $3,200. We will stay in Milwaukee for our value outfielder. Ryne Nelson pitches for Arizona and he has only had one quality start since the calendar turned to May. Anderson’s average has fallen to .225, but he’s got enough pop to be in play at this price. Also, Brian Anderson calling Home Runs hit by Brian Anderson is one of the coolest things there is.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

No Rain concerns whatsoever tonight. Strong Winds will be blowing out in both Los Angeles and San Fran, and Strong winds blowing in can be found in Minneapolis and Cleveland.

Doing Lines In Vegas

I did mention I do a bit of Sports Handicapping. Follow me on Twitter @TheGreatKnoche for more info. I’ll give out a Free Play here every Tuesday, but you can find all my free and premium picks for MLB and a few other sports at The Odds Breakers

I’ll be on the over in Milwaukee. It currently sits at 8.5, but I’d be shocked if it wasn’t 9 or 9.5 by the time this article publishes. Let’s win some money tonight!
