Hi! It’s Thursday, June 16th and we have an interesting DFS slate on our hands today. Only five games on this FanDuel Main Slate, one of them with rain potential. We also have a lot of good pitchers on the slate that I am trying to avoid going against like Luis Severino, Shohei Ohtani, and Zack Wheeler. Most of the value bats are coming from two games. To see those picks, read on!

Tylor Megill, SP: $9,200 – My favorite cash game play on the slate. He has a 25.6% strikeout rate, he is favored to win, and also has a 3.38 SIERA. Is less expensive than most of the favored pitchers.
Shohei Ohtani, SP: $10,200 – Good tournament play due to strikeout upside. 31.7% strikeout rate on the season.
Nate Lowe, C/1B: $3,000 – Beau Briske is not a good pitcher. He has a 4.85 SIERA and allows 2.27 HR/9. There are some great expensive options but I like Lowe as a value option.
Rhys Hoskins, C/1B: $3,600 – Patrick Corbin is a pitcher I like to pick on. Hoskins has a .340 ISO against lefties this year. Rain is in the forecast, so be careful.
Marcus Semien, 2B: $3,200 – Texas in general is in a good spot. There are several Texas recommendations here with such a small slate. This is an OK position to punt at with like a Jonathan Schoop of Javier Baez as well.
Josh Donaldson, 3B: $2,700 – Donaldson has always hit lefties well. Beeks has good numbers though. Third base is a difficult one to find value in on a nightly basis.
Corey Seager, SS: $3,200 – Another Texas power bat against the worst pitcher on the slate.
Nick Castellanos, OF: $2,700 – He has not hit for much power at all this year. In the last two years, he has a .250 ISO against lefties. At a value, against Corbin, if it is dry, I am willing to take a chance.
Kole Calhoun, OF: $2,500 – A Texas bat again? Seriously, I would not play more than two Texas bats in a cash game. They are viable to stack in a tournament.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
There is light rain forecasted for the Washington-Philadelphia game, which is too bad for DFS because Wheeler is a nice option for pitching on most slates and Corbin is a nice pitcher to attack. Washington is notorious for unnecessarily canceling games and doing it last minute after they have sold concessions for an hour or so. So be sure to check that out on Twitter

I like Seattle (+104) over the Angels, taking a late lead after both starting pitchers are out.
