How are we down to the final two weeks of the regular season? It always feels like the season is slogging along, and then the end comes out of nowhere. It’s a sad reality because the everyday grind of the regular season is one of my favorite aspects of fantasy baseball. That’s why I love writing the streamers article every week of every season, because it helps me as much as it helps you guys. With that in mind, I want to finish the season strong, so let’s look at the schedule and then dive into those streamers!

Favorable Team Matchups

7 Games

Atlanta Braves (at WAS, vs. DET)

New York Yankees (at MIN, at BAL)

Tampa Bay Rays (vs. TOR, vs. BOS)

Toronto Blue Jays (at TB, at KC)

6 Games

Boston Red Sox (vs. ATH, at TB)

Colorado Rockies (vs. MIA, vs. LAA)

Los Angeles Angels (at MIL, at COL)

Miami Marlins (at COL, at TEX)

Milwaukee Brewers (vs. LAA, vs. STL)

Pitching Streamers

Luis Severino/Jeffrey Springs, ATH (at PIT)

There’s a simple recipe for recommending these A’s starters. Severino and Springs are both talented pitchers, but we only like using them outside of Sacramento. Severino’s splits are truly sensational, with the righty registering a 3.11 ERA and 1.04 WHIP on the road this year. That’s absurd considering his 6.34 ERA and 1.61 WHIP at home, but we’re also encouraged by his 2.87 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across his last seven starts. Springs splits are similar, sporting a 3.61 ERA and 1.11 WHIP on the road while posting a 5.00 ERA in Sacramento. That becomes more valuable than ever in a spot like this because they face one of the worst offenses in one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in baseball. The Pirates rank 29th or 30th in runs scored, wOBA, and OPS while sitting 27th in K rate.

Streamonator Valuation: $0.9/$-4.9

Kyle Bradish/Tyler Wells, BAL (at CWS)

We just had Bradish as one of our streamers last week, and there’s no reason why he should be available in so many leagues. Despite dealing with numerous injuries, Bradish has been one of the best pitchers in baseball over the last three years. He has a 2.80 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in that three-year span while totaling a 2.65 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 11.1 K/9 rate this year. Wells has been similar in terms of limiting baserunners, providing a 4.00 career ERA and 1.03 WHIP. He’s also got a 2.31 ERA and 0.60 WHIP through two starts this year, but these guys have one of their best matchups of the season. This woeful White Sox lineup ranks 25th in OBP, 26th in runs scored and 27th in wOBA.

Streamonator Valuation: $24.4/$2.1

Quinn Priester/Jose Quintana, MIL (vs. LAA)

Let’s cap off our pairs of streamers with a couple of Brewers. This pitching staff has been one of the best in baseball, and these underrated arms are a major reason why. Priester has a 13-2 record this season, thanks to his 3.25 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. That makes it hard to believe he’s still so widely available, especially since he has seven total runs across his last five starts. Quintana has been a reliable pitcher for the last decade, but his 3.88 ERA and 1.28 WHIP are difficult to overlook. Our favorite part about this is that they have a home matchup with the Angels. LA ranks 22nd in wOBA, 28th in OBP and dead-last in K rate. That will also have both of these guys entering this magical matchup as a -200 favorite or higher!

Streamonator Valuation: $26.8/$7.3

Jason Alexander, HOU (vs. TEX)

We had Alexander as one of our streamers just a few weeks ago, and he continues to have a breakout season in Houston. That’s simply what the Stros have been doing for years, and they appear to have discovered something in Alexander’s arsenal. The former reliever has allowed three runs or fewer in eight straight starts, accruing a 2.36 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 8.1 K/9 rate in that span. That’s a ridiculous run from a universally available player, and we couldn’t ask for a better matchup. Texas is missing three of its best hitters right now, with the Rangers ranked 24th in OBP and 26th in wOBA.

Streamonator Valuation: $3.4

Jonah Tong, NYM (vs. WAS)

There are always prospects that go overlooked in the closing month of the season, and Tong is one of them. This righty was having a historical season at the lower levels before his call-up, compiling a 1.61 ERA and 0.92 WHIP between Double-A and Triple-A. He also had 193 strikeouts across 123 innings. The only real concern is that Tong was shelled in his most recent start, but getting to throw in Citi Field against this lineup negates that. We also love all of these Mets pitchers in Citi Field because that’s been one of the best pitchers’ parks over the last decade. That won’t bode well for Washington because the Nationals rank 21st in runs scored, 22nd in OBP and 23rd in wOBA. Don’t be surprised if Tong is a -250 favorite as well.

Streamonator Valuation: $35.7

Hitting Streamers

Brenton Doyle/Jordan Beck/Ezeqiuel Tovar, COL (vs. MIA, vs. LAA)

If you’ve been reading my streamers articles over the last few years, you know we always recommend the Rockies when they have a full week at home. The math is simple because Colorado will always be one of the highest-projected offenses in that hitter’s haven. The opposing offense usually has a higher projection, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Rockies drop 30 runs with six games at home this week. It’s not like these are pitching staffs we’re worried about either, with the Marlins ranked 26th in ERA and 27th in xwOBA while the Angels rank 28th in ERA, WHIP and wOBA.

The only tricky part about recommending a team like this is that we have to find formidable hitters. Doyle was a Top 100 pick in most season-long leagues and is showing why in the closing months. He has a .300 AVG and .867 OPS across his last 32 games. More importantly, he has a .979 OPS at home during that span while posting an .886 OPS at Coors for the season. Beck has quietly been a solid rookie in the heart of this lineup. He’s falling just shy of a 20-20 season while sporting an .849 OPS at home this year. Tovar is the final piece, totaling a .359 AVG and .952 OPS at home.

Kyle Manzardo, CLE (at DET, at MIN)

With Tarik Skubal getting injured on Friday, Manzardo might have seven games against right-handers this week. That means he should be hitting cleanup behind Jose Ramirez in all seven games, which is one of the best lineup spots in baseball. This slugger has earned that prominent spot with one of the best streaks of his career, collecting a .438 OBP and 1.163 OPS across his last 12 outings. That’s backed by a .480 SLG and .818 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor. Those splits and form make him impossible to fade since he’s likely fading Skubal in Detroit’s rotation, especially since Minnesota ranks 23rd in WHIP, 25th in ERA and 24th in wOBA.

SAGNOF (Saves/Steals Ain’t Got No Face)

Steals Specialists

Corbin Durbin (MIL)

Durbin has been playing every day in Milwaukee, picking up four steals across his last nine outings.

Luis Rengifo (LAA)

Rengifo broke out with 24 steals last season, but some IL stints have stunted any growth this year. In any case, he has six steals over his last 24 outings.

Saves Specialists

Shawn Armstrong (TEX)

The Rangers are rolling right now, with Armstrong recording five steals across his last nine outings.

Brad Keller/Andrew Kittredge (CHC)

With Danny Palencia landing on the IL, one of these guys should close games for the Cubs. Kittredge picked up the first two saves, but either of these guys could steal the gig.

Last minute decision but would you rather have Rogers vs NYY or Messick @ MIN? It’s a points league that counts quality starts.

Spot streamer for tomorrow. Biello or Vasquez–or do both of these suck-lol? Or do you any other intriguing name for the rest of the week (tough question I know).

10 TM 6×6 OBP QS Keep forever. Playing for the Championship.
Hittertron has Tyler Freeman as a top 15 bat this week. Do you agree? I’ve have Stanton at OF and Neto at SS. Pick up Tovar and Doyle or is Freeman the better play? I dont have to drop Neto or Stanton but have a 5 move weekly limit. Would be dropping David Peterson and Will Warren.

Thanks
