What is up party people? Here we are with real live sports. Welcome to the 60 game sprint which means that fantasy baseball has turned into one long DFS contest. Good thing you’re here at Razzball to get some DFS advice and dominate your contests. We’re down a few players today owing to the recent spike in Covid cases in Miami. We’ve got some big time pitching names on the docket today, but as we’ve seen so far guys are still getting warmed up. My advice is to not overspend on pitching since guys don’t seem to be going deep into games yet. I wouldn’t fault you for taking one of the studs but I think your money is better spent on bats. So buckle up and party on.

New to FanDuel? Scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond? Well, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFSBot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray. It’s how we know you care!

Chris Paddack, SP: $9,700 – I hate to do it but… the Giants offense is not good. We’ve got a star in a pitcher’s park. Don’t overthink this one.

Frankie Montas, SP: $7,700 – Pitcher’s park, check. Rockies on the road, check. Once again the Rox are near the bottom of the league in batting average. Take away the Coors factor and they lose quite a bit of punch. Montas broke out last year and looked strong in his four innings of work on Opening Day. If he can pitch deeper this time he’ll set you up nicely.

Andrew Heaney, SP: $7,100 –  He’s got the talent to deliver and he’s not facing a powerhouse. There were reports he was dealing with some back tightness but he still turned in a solid outing in his first start.

C.J. Cron, 1B: $3,100 – Bombs, RBIs and spot in the middle of a pretty solid lineup. Looks like we’ve got a winning combination.

Will Smith, C: $2,800 – Not a ton of options that I love today, so why not take a shot? Smith shares time, but when he’s in the lineup he’s good to go. Even hitting lower in the order he can still do some damage with all those other bats around him.

Brandon Lowe, 2B: $3,300 – Not even a week into the season and he’s already racked up five RBIs. No reason for the Rays or you to leave him on the bench while he’s this locked in and putting up numbers.

Nico Hoerner, 2B: $2,400 – Let’s go for a deep dive shall we? He seems to have the playing time edge so far (and the DH offers another chance for his bat). While I’d like to see him move up in the order, at this price beggars can’t be choosers.

Jose Ramirez, 3B: $3,600 – Stop disrespecting JoRam, he should be the highest priced option at the hot corner. Have we forgotten his five (count em) tool talent? Wait…scratch that, we want him to be priced lower so we can get a better return on our investment.

Colin Moran, 3B: $2,900 – Moran has been straight fire to start the season, with three bombs already. Sadly the rest of the Pirates lineup has let him down as all have been solo shots. This will likely be the reality, but all it takes is one lucky break in front of him and suddenly those RBI numbers look a whole lot better.

Gleyber Torres, SS: $3,200 – He’s uber talented and the Yanks are stacked. What more do you need? Hopefully the change in opponent from Philly to Baltimore won’t hurt him. Oh wait, he’ll be IN Camden now? Awesome.

Adalberto Mondesi, SS: $2,700 – This one is for steals, they count for points too. I’m in on him this year, just like I was last year. The layoff should have given him a chance to get fully healthy, and that means all systems go.

Cody Bellinger, OF: $4,400 – Strap in for what could be a monster season. There’s no time like the present. I don’t care who he’s facing, he’s a great option. No ace today so that’s even better for us.

Max Kepler, OF: $3,000 – He’s top 10 on Rudy’s board today so that’s something. Actually, that’s a lot, Rudy knows his shiz. He’s got power and the ability to hit for average. Plus he’s slotted at the top of the lineup. Add it all up and we’ve got a winner.

Tommy Edman, OF: $2,500 – His utility role means that he has multiple paths to playing time. And his talent means that he has multiple ways to contribute to your roster.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Weather is looking pretty peachy all around aside from some humidity and maybe wind. Nothing to worry about.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Weird day for betting lines, what with the Marlins and Phillies shut down and the Yanks and Os now playing each other. The best line is Cards and Twins, well for offense anyway.
