Happy Easter Eve to you all, I wish you all the best of luck tomorrow in your adult Easter egg hunts. Yes, that is actually a thing and yes, I’m just as surprised as you to learn about them. We’ve got a very odd slate scheduled for this Saturday. There are several games in the 4-6 o’clock hour that FanDuel is choosing to ignore unless you spring for the “All Day” slate. The rainouts yesterday have wreaked havoc as well. There is also a 4 game early slate, but we’ll be focusing on the Main Slate today which is the standard 7 PM ET time slot. We’ve got 5 games to cover here including everyone’s favorite, Coors Field! For my best value starting pitcher on the main slate I’m springing for Eric Lauer ($7,300). We love us some Hodgepadres around these parts and Lauer fits the bill perfectly. Lauer’s 4.51 FIP isn’t the most inspiring thing but his opponent isn’t either. The Reds haven’t exactly been dynamite to start the season, in fact, they have the league’s 6th worst team OPS. I’m banking on the mediocre pitcher here taking down the mediocre offense. On a day with jacked up Coors bat prices, I like the discount at SP that Lauer allows.

Gerrit Cole, SP: $11,100 – Cole is the top pitcher on the board tonight both in price and projected points, but oh, that price is steep! In cash games, I could see paying up for Cole and digging for discount Coors bats.
Luis Castillo, SP: $9,800 – I wouldn’t fight you if you’d rather roster Castillo over Lauer. Castillo’s upside is a little higher, but so is his downside. I like the Padres offense much better than Cincy’s, but to each their own.
J.T. Realmuto, C/1B: $3,900 – Realmuto offers some salary relief from Hoskins and is only $100 more than Ryan Mcmahon, your other choice here for Coors exposure. Despite the park, I’d rather pick on Senzatela than Nola, so Realmuto it is!
Yuli Gurriel, C/1B: $3,100 – Adrian Sampson is the lowest ranked non-Coors pitcher on the slate, so look to counter the highly owned Coors bats with some Astros, Yuli included.
Enrique Hernandez, 2B: $3,300 – The Dodgers offense would be ridiculous if they played in Miller Park and I love the visiting Kike here tonight. I’ll gladly pick on Chase Anderson in fact, an Astros/Dodgers stack would be a nice alternative to the Coors bats.
Dee Gordon, 2B: $2,900 – This just seems too cheap for Dee Gordon, even if he is hitting eighth in the lineup.
Maikel Franco, 3B: $3,800 – Franco has been cranking the ball lately and Coors field should only help that power.
Travis Shaw, 3B: $2,400 – Sure, Shaw doesn’t have the platoon advantage against the returning Hyun-Jin Ryu, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Ryu only goes 4 innings and Shaw can still turn on a lefty fastball.
Scott Kingery, SS: $3,600 – I’m pretty sure Kingery is the only shortstop I’d play today, the kid has been straight fire. Where was this last year when I owned him in every league? The least he can do is help me win a few bucks.
Fernando Tatis Jr., SS: $3,400 – If I were to stray from Kingery, it’d be for another young gun in Tatis. I own him all over the place this year and he’s not making me regret it.
Joc Pederson, OF: $4,400 – Joc is the perfect storm right now, he’s on fire at the plate, facing a poor pitcher with the platoon advantage in a hitter’s park.
Mallex Smith, OF: $2,900 – Deso FanDuel realize the Mariners have the most runs scored and the second highest team OPS in the majors or nah? Mallex is their leadoff man and priced like a bum, lock and load.
Roman Quinn, OF: $2,900 – Some cheap Coors love here. Quinn has some light power and plenty of speed, which in Coors can lead to big numbers.
Jay Bruce, OF: $2,800 – All he does is homer!

Doing Lines In Vegas
In our 5 game main slate we have the Coors Field over/under at 10.5 runs, but HOU@TEX is right there with 10 runs. Stack those ‘Stros! On the flip side, the over/under is 7.5 in San Diego, so you really can’t go wrong with either pitcher there. Houston and Gerrit Cole are the biggest favorites on the night at -220.
