We have a new leader atop the Master standings! Pig Charmer (Grunge Ball — RCL 16) completed the march to the top that began in 29th place 3 weeks ago. Beardcrabs (The Gaylords — Conshellation Prize) moved up 5 spots while Gobias Industries (Cust Kayin’) gained 11 positions to sit tied in 2nd, 1 back with 107 points. captainpyper (RCL 3) is in 4th, another point behind. The leader for the last 2 weeks, Trini (Psychic Friends Network – RCL 22) lost 4 points and slipped into a tie for 5th with The Fredsies (ECFBL) and NYC Matthole (Ones are GOOD right) at 104. Rube Waddell’s Shiny Objects (Magnificent Mustachioed Men), Schmo Hawks (Beef SAGNOF!), and Tennessee Mash (RCL 25) round out the top 10.

As with Trini’s team, Carlos Gonzalez (.326/16 HR/9 SB) is the offensive star for Grunge Ball. Hunter Pence, Hanley Ramirez, and Yadier Molina have also contributed some good numbers. Jake Peavy, Brandon Morrow, Chris Capuano, Brandon Beachy, and Ryan Dempster have combined for 28 wins and 341 strikeouts with a 2.62 ERA and 1.01 WHIP, helping Grunge Ball earn 47 of a possible 48 points in those 4 categories.

AbNormal (eye-talian backstop — Cracking The WHIP) made the biggest move this week, gaining 16 points to improve 193 spots, and now sits in 137th place.

The ECFBL are back where they always knew they would be — all alone at the top of the Competitive Index standings with a 104 rating. RCL 9 slipped back to 103, tied with Matthew Berry is a Tool. One reason for ECFBL’s dominance is they have already accumulated 700 more at-bats than any other league. More of their teams are subbing in hitters when their regular starters are off.

Expert League: Rudy had a great week and moved back into first, 7 points ahead of Ryan Carey (Mastersball Carey). He also cracked the top 30 overall with 93 points for 29th place. His top pick, Joey Votto has been playing like a 1st-rounder (.417/4 Runs/1 HR/5 RBI/1 SB for the week), but getting nice contributions from Jose Altuve (.407/4 RBI/1 SB) and Michael Saunders (.391/3 RBI/1 SB) was key. Grey had one of his best weeks at the plate — unfortunately that just means .286 with 12 home runs.

Trades: Cliff Lee was a key piece in 3 of the 12 deals this week, as owners frustrated with his winless ways looked for something better. In Myrtle’s Acres, Tree Tremont flipped him for Jon Lester and Chris Perez. In RCL 20, he was traded with C.C. Sabathia and Will Middlebrooks for Jed Lowrie, Rajai Davis, Evan Longoria, and Shaun Marcum. And, in Epic Bearmen Division, walters clueless packaged him with Josh Hamilton for Hunter Pence and Stephen Strasburg. Other big-name pitchers traded this week include Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander, Tim Lincecum, and Felix Hernandez. In the ECFBL, Paulie found he couldn’t handle the excitement of newly-acquired Mike Trout and sent him packing, for Brandon Beachy. You can find all the trades in the fantasy baseball forums. Look for the RCL under “Everything Else.”
