Hey everybody welcome back for another episode of the Razzball Prospects Podcast. This week JB Gilpin from the big show takes over the Prospect Pod, so of course Michael Halpern and I talk Brewers. Seriously, JB has blinders on with the Brew Crew, but he gives us his fan first perspective on our top 10 Brewers prospects lists. We jump into the hot callups and promotions throughout the majors and minors, talk some Tyler O’neill, Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Tyler Hill, and of course Dansby Swanson. We also discuss why I’m so damn angry lately. It’s the latest episode of the Razzball Prospect Podcast.

Ooh, nice! So when do we see Josh Hader? And why so salty?
@Grey: Maybe September, but more than likely next year. I’m salty cause I had a head to head points leagues team miss the playoffs even though I scored the second most points. I lost some $. July was a rough month for my teams and I’ve spent August trying to recover.
I want to cuddle you and make it all right again, thanks for the Hader knowledge, JB’s been pretty mum with me
@Grey: Tis okay Grey, when I feel bad I just say mean things about Tehol on twitter and the world gets a little brighter.
I love Hader, he’s as ugly as Randy Johnson with the stuff of Chris Sale. If you watch his delivery it’s very similar with the positioning on the mound and the 3/4 arm slot.
Think Hader will need as long as Johnson to find his major league footing?
@Grey: I’m not sure, he’s similar in terms of the control issues, but it’s not as exaggerated as Johnson’s was early on. His K rates are actually better than Johnson’s at this point. He’s struggled at Colorado Springs but that’s the home park+PCL bump. His FIP is almost two runs lower than his ERA. He could struggle in his first taste but should settle in within a year.
Cool, thanks…Feeling better about my $1 NL-Only keeper
@Grey: Might be the #1 pitching prospect in the game come February
Wow, really? I just grabbed him off waivers in June (as my team sank)
Ralph! Just in time. Who the heck is Teoscar Hernandez? Playing OF for Houston lately.
@Scott: He’s a prospect that got buried a bit in a deep Astros system. Had a rough year batting average wise in 2015, after exploding onto the scene in 2014. Possesses a good approach (bb% in the 8-10% range), 25+ steal speed, 10-15 homer pop, and solid batted ball data.
What’s up Ralph! 12 team roto dynasty… Trade deadline approaching this weekend… I’m in 2nd .. Should finish no worse than 3rd…. I’ve been offered his Abreu/Adames for my Maitan … What’ya think?
@Landisimo3: What Abreu? Wily Adames?
@Ralph Lifshitz: Jose and Willy … Sorry
@Landisimo3: I like that deal
From what you have been saying to Grey regarding Hader is it safe to say you like him better than Cody Reed who got sent back down to the minors? Look forward to getting home and listening to the podcast. Thanks for all the great info.
@Raoul Duke: Yes, but I do like Cody Reed. He has a rough first taste, but I haven’t given up on him. The upside is way higher with Hader. I am far and away the high guy on Hader.
@Ralph Lifshitz: We are allowed 6 minor league keepers in my league. Right now I have Moncada, AJ Reed, Nomar Mazara, Willie Calhoun, Javier Baez and Josh Hader. I was going to hang on to AJ Reed and Baez until next year and move them up. I have had them both on my team for a couple years so I was holding out to see if they make good on their talent. In your mind am I better served putting Cody Reed in one of their spots? Or maybe dropping Calhoun is the answer?
@Raoul Duke: You already have the top 6 IMo
Nice my man
