Last week, Grayson Rodriguez threw 89 MPH the other day, and people were like, “That’s cool, he’s working on a knuckleball. Right? Right….?” Only those dots after the 2nd “Right” lasted for 48 hours, until someone poked the speaker to see if they were still alive, they weren’t. Thankfully, they were resuscitated! Whew! Checking in […]

Baseball is full of rules. For example, the mound is exactly 60 feet, 6 inches away from the back point of home plate. Home plate is 17-inches wide. The bases are 90 feet apart. Hit the foul poles in the air, it’s a home run. Your team is leading after 9 innings, you win. We […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back to the continuation of our series breaking down the Top 100 Hitters for the 2025 fantasy baseball season. We are midway through, and this week we have an opportunity to dive into the part of the draft with so much uncertainty, it’s like trying to guess where a knuckleball is going in a hurricane. Where there is uncertainty for many, there is opportunity for the savvy. This group features exciting players who are just looking to put it all together for a full season, such as Royce Lewis or Lawrence Butler. On the other side of the coin, there are players who simply need to stay healthy for the majority of the year, like Mike Trout or Christian Yelich. There is no question that limitless potential exists as we hit the middle rounds of a fantasy draft, yet the most important thing for a drafter is to stick to their strategy and get their guys. Let’s hunker down and continue our trounce through the Top 100 Hitters for the 2025 fantasy baseball season with hitters 41 through 60.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Yankees RHP Will Warren should break camp in the major league rotation following injuries to Luis Gil and Gerrit Cole, joining Clarke Schmidt and Marcus Stroman to form a trio that’s good enough to keep the team in games. Warren struggled in 2024 but has been excellent this spring, striking out 11 batters and allowing one run and a 0.50 WHIP across eight innings. Stuff is not an issue here; he features two fastballs along with a plus slider and changeup, following the side-to-side pitching path paved in part by Clarke Schmidt.
Please, blog, may I have some more?AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Ok, now that my internal monologue is out of the way, let us move on to discussing this week’s injury notes and updates. Preseason Injuries to Monitor George Kirby (SP, SEA) Shoulder Inflammation One of the “safest” picks in the draft will officially be starting the season on IL. Kirby’s shoulder acting up three […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?A couple of weeks ago I dug into 15 hitters I think are draft bargains (read here) heading into the 2025 season based on ability, upside, and ADP. Naturally, I threw around a bunch of nerdy stats along the way too. This week, I’m flipping the script and zeroing in on starting pitchers. Both strategically […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Shepherd University, which is located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, has produced four draft picks during its history. Three of those players are people who none of us have ever heard of.
But one of them is Brenton Doyle, the center fielder for the Colorado Rockies. Doyle was selected in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, and Doyle has proven to be a great selection by the Rockies.
After the draft he signed with the club and was assigned to Grand Junction, the team’s Rookie ball team. All he did there was slash .383/.477/.611 with eight homers, 33 RBI and 17 steals in 51 games. And all he has done since then is to continue to hit and show improvement at each level of ball he has played on.
So let’s take a dive in the Brenton Doyle, and Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player
Please, blog, may I have some more? What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? Got just a little nibbler for y’all this week. Won’t beat around the bush; I’m plumb tuckered. This week I thought we’d take a look at middle infielders, with an eye on a few potential targets later in a draft. We won’t go quite as deep as we have the last couple of […]

Please, blog, may I have some more? Two weeks back, we jumpstarted our 2025 college prospects coverage with a breakdown of the top-10 draft-eligible players to target in dynasty formats. With that came two bonus selections to extend the list to 12, in addition to a handful that “just missed” the cut. Today, we’ll dive into some college prospects who did not […]
