It’s year 14 of the RCLs! That’s right, if the RCLs are in the bathroom, don’t knock, just give them like five minutes because they’re checking the price guide for their Semien condition, so to speak. They grow up so fast, right? Soon, the RCLs are going to be dating, then fall for their high school sweetheart, then get married at 19, then quit school to support their young family.

Welcome back to Hitter Profiles for the 2024 fantasy baseball season. Last week we covered the NL West and this week we head over to the AL East. A division full of teams that all have postseason hopes, there are bound to be a bevy of fantasy assets for the pickings. 2024 welcomes Juan Soto and Corbin Burnes to the division which certainly will boost their values. We also have exciting young talent on teams like the Orioles and Rays that are trying to stake claim after years of watching the Yankees and Red Sox draw the spotlight. This year, there is an argument that any team could win the division and we may have over half the division in the playoffs. Excitement awaits for us as we dive into the AL East. So without further ado let’s walk through the boom and bust candidates in this competitive division!
Please, blog, may I have some more?Since we have last spoken, or read, Razzball has been bumping with new content. I would suggest you read it, it’s really good content for your draft prep. Speaking of content for draft prep, I think I’ll be reading a lot of prospect content! I’ve hated prospects for quite some time, I’m told on social […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?1. Orioles SS Jackson Holliday | 20 | AAA | 2024
Baltimore’s final big prize for super-quitting, Holliday traversed four levels in 2023, climbing all the way to Triple-A for a few weeks and posting a 109 wRC+ there with 16 walks and 17 strikeouts in 18 games. He’ll begin 2024 with a chance to claim the opening day shortstop job.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back another installment of the Fantasy Baseball Dynasty rankings. This week we feature the players ranked 100-76 on our way to the top-ranked group.
Here is a look at the breakdown of this week’s grouping:
5 players between the ages of 30-34
14 players between the ages of 25-29
6 players between the ages of 20-24
9 infielders
7 starting pitchers
7 outfielders
2 catchers
If you are surprised by the number of players who are 29 or younger – a whopping 20 of the 25 players ranked in this group – you shouldn’t be. It stands to reason that the best way to build or maintain a winning dynasty team is do that is with the best young players in the game. The older players are great to fill a hole, but not build around.
More and more of the top hitters are starting to get ranked as well as I skew my rankings in favor of the young hitters, though I don’t ignore starting pitchers as much as I used to. But if picking between a pitcher and a hitter who are close in the rankings, I will go with the hitter this point.
Now on to the Fantasy Baseball Dynasty Rankings: 100-76…
Please, blog, may I have some more?Greetings and salutations, Razzball community! Love is in the air as pitchers and catchers get to work next week on the consumer hearts and candy holiday. It won’t just be steamy because of the holiday (ah-woo-gah!). We will also begin to learn a little more about how spicy some of those end-of-season and lingering injuries […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?As we continue our tour around the baseball diamond this chilly February, it’s time to take a look at the second base landscape. I’m not sure the rest of the fantasy baseball world agrees with me, but I’m actually finding second to be ultra deep this year — dare I say, perhaps even deeper than […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Corbin Burnes was traded to the Orioles, and, only a few days earlier, Peter Angelos sold the Orioles, saying to the new owners, “Treat this team with the respect she deserves. Every part of her. Down to the staples on this contract. By the way, if you don’t need the staples, I usually take them out and save them so I can use them again down the road. Crazy the amount of people that discard perfectly good staples. I have one staple I used on a court document — someone was suing me for back pay — and I used that one staple, like, sixteen more times.”
Please, blog, may I have some more?Who were the real fantasy baseball risers and fallers from the 2024 MLB free agency this offseason, you ask? The real winners of the offseason, of course, were Shohei Ohtani, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the devil since the Dodgers clearly made a deal with him to get Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernandez, and Yoshinobu […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?In our 30th episode, Mike Couillard and Jeremy Brewer overview the AL West in the fifth part of our 2024 preview series. Over the coming weeks, we will analyze our favorite buys and identify sells on each team in a given division. We open with a discussion of the latest and greatest transactions including Corbin Burnes developing […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Four score and seventeen-hundred rankings posts ago, my Fordfathers said, “Stop calling us Fordfathers, you idiot, it’s forefathers.” In order to form a more perfect fantasy baseball ranking system, we stopped ranking for fantasy baseball and simply said, “Eff it, let’s just let Grey rank 500 or so Mr. So-and-So’s.” Or, more succinctly, the top 500 for 2024 fantasy baseball.
Please, blog, may I have some more?1. OF Wyatt Langford | 22 | AAA | 2024
A Texas-sized gift at the fourth pick in a loaded draft class, Langford laid waste to the minor leagues one level at a time, stopping at the complex league for three games before moving along to High-A for 24 games, Double-A for 12 games, and Triple-A for five games. He dominated at every level and might force an opening day debut with a good showing in spring training. He’s listed at 6’1” 225 lbs and doesn’t have much (if any) physical projection remaining, but that’s mostly irrelevant for a guy who has plus power and speed generate elite outcomes as is.
