Psst! This post is gonna list 2nd basemen that you should target in your 2024 fantasy baseball drafts. I’m whispering because you don’t want everyone to see this post. No, I can’t whisper louder, then it WOULDN’T BE WHISPERING! Okay, gig’s up (or maybe that’s jig’s up), the love I’m about to reiterately (Made Up Word of the Day!) confirm is on these guys I love later in drafts.

Weekly Razzball news delivered straight to your inbox.
Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! For this week’s installment of Top 100 Starting Pitchers, I decided to give us all a peek into the darkness that is “The Next 100”. The shadowy realm of the next 100 starting pitchers isn’t nearly as deep of an abyss as the one that houses the pitchers that follow these […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?People ask me: EWB, what’s the best thing I can do to level up my fantasy skills? Right now, I’d say “Get off of Twitter, I don’t know WTF those guys are fighting about, but it’s dumb.” But you’re probably on to 20chan or something else deplorable already, so you’ve seen worse than grown men fighting over imaginary sports management.
There’s no single path that will bring you fantasy glory. I mean, other than starting up a league by yourself and inviting nobody else. You’re gonna be so embarrassed when you come in second place behind a team that didn’t even draft!
There’s no single thing that will make you the best fantasy lothario on the planet because you can’t control everything. And when you realize how little control you have, that’s when you level up your fantasy game and become a better player.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy folks. I have emerged from my Balatro-fueled psychosis to provide a list of 25 dudes who happen to play second base. My ranking process is organized around how much I expect them to produce over a full, healthy season, which is admittedly a fool’s errand. Like I’ve always done my private rankings, I wrote […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?On Friday, Noelvi Marte was suspended for 80 games for violating MLB’s PED policy that says, “Boldenone is illegal. Cortisone injections are completely legal and different than other steroids. Also, if there’s any drugs we don’t know about that help you? Yeah, those are legal too. Until we find out about them then decide to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?As the 2024 fantasy baseball pre-season gains momentum, the excitement is tangible. Last week, we unveiled the top 20 hitters, with Ronald Acuna’s brilliance shining through despite brief injury concerns. Spring training has been nothing short of tantalizing, introducing us to emerging talents such as Wyatt Langford, Spencer Jones, Colton Cowser, and Henry Davis. With drafts commencing, it’s time to shift our focus to the next echelon of hitters, spanning spots 20 to 40. This bracket welcomes a group of burgeoning youth and old veterans, presenting a blend of potential and seasoned reliability. Without further ado, let’s dive in to the next edition of unveiling the Top 100 hitters for the 2024 fantasy baseball season.
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s tricky business reacting to spring training outcomes. Veterans are working on their game, treating reps like practice, while youngsters and journeymen are striving to make a good impression. That doesn’t negate all the outcomes, of course, but I feel a little silly reading sentences about how a player looks based on a week of half-games, and I feel even sillier writing them. Nonetheless, playing time is up for grabs, and small samples or not, guys are proving themselves worthy (or unworthy) of season-opening opportunities, so we can’t just play ostrich and ignore the new realities revealing themselves.
If you’ve been around a while, you know I’m not crazy about Brayan Rocchio. SS Angel Martinez is my preferred pick among Cleveland’s options at shortstop, and he’s in a heavenly rhythm right now, batting .529 with two homers and a triple. Rocchio is hitting .118. Both players have 19 plate appearances. Would be a pretty big upset in the echo chamber if Martinez claims the gig, but I doubt the Guardians see it that way. Here’s a link to a story by Jesus Cano on mlb.com that details the changes Martinez made heading into 2024.
Please, blog, may I have some more? When it comes to playing in a dynasty league, the difference between winning and losing is knowing which under-the-radar players to add to your team – either now before the season or once the season is underway. It’s easy to know you should have Ronald Acuna or Julio Rodriguez in your lineup or go after Geritt Cole or Spencer Strider when putting your staff together.
But for you to win, you have to know who the Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players are. They aren’t the stars everyone wants, but they are often the players who are the difference between winning that title and finishing out of the playoffs altogether.
So welcome to the first week of the 2024 Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players. Throughout the year I’ll feature a player (or two) each week who I think is going to be solid dynasty player, whether that is right away or starting next season.
Well, I think we have had enough of the small talk. Let’s dive into the player I want to focus on this week – Kutter Crawford of the Boston Red Sox.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Noted philosopher and baseball Hall of Famer Yogi Berra wisely advised ballplayers to do this one simple thing: “Swing at strikes.” We all know it’s not that simple, even if it’s easy for us to sit at home and question the professional baseball player on TV, let’s make up an entirely fictional ballplayer called Bavier […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Week after week I have important decisions to make: Should I eat this entire sleeve of Girl Scout cookies? Should I call my mom? Should I make my dogs pay rent? This week the decision around what I would title this week’s edition of “Ambulance Chasers” weighed heavily on me. The choice was to make […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? By popular demand, I’ve got some holds rankings for you folks. I didn’t get around to doing this last season, so it’s bonus content szn!! I’m only doing a Top 20, however. The setup landscape is kinda bonkers, shifting so much throughout the course of a 162-game season that it gets practically […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Less than two weeks to go until fake Opening Day, and only three weeks until real Opening Day! Yay! Now that we’re right in the middle of spring training, we’ve had a lot of player value changes on a daily (if not hourly!) basis. Some due to injury, some to due managerial comments about positional […]
