This is always a bittersweet article. I love writing these articles every week, and it’s sad to see the baseball season come to an end. What I don’t hate is seeing fantasy end, because this final week of the season is always gross. So many random things happen in this final week, and it’s crazy that we decide fantasy champions in such a volatile week. In any case, it’s a good time for savvy fantasy managers to take command, because the better manager typically wins through wise moves. That’s why this streamers article is one of the most important of the season, and I’ll try my best to get you guys some picks that will hopefully provide some value in this unpredictable week.
Favorable Team Matchups
7 Games
New York Yankees (vs. TB, vs. BAL)
Tampa Bay Rays (at NYY, at PHI)
These are the only two teams that play seven games.
6 Games
Arizona Diamondbacks (at COL, at SD)
Athletics (vs. LAA, vs. HOU)
Chicago White Sox (at KC, vs. COL)
Colorado Rockies (vs. ARI, at CWS)
Houston Astros (at SEA, at ATH)
New York Mets (at TEX, at WAS)
Seattle Mariners (vs. HOU, vs. LAA)
Toronto Blue Jays (at BAL, vs. CIN)
Pitching Streamers
Martin Perez, ATL (at MIA)
There’s always a handful of veterans every season who randomly have a career year, and Perez is that guy this year. This lefty has found something in Atlanta, accruing a 3.07 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 25 starts. His consistency is even more incredible, surrendering four runs or fewer in all 25 starts this year. That’s hard to believe, but you’d have to imagine Perez will keep that streak going against Miami. The Marlins rank 18th in K rate and 25th in xwOBA while posting some of the worst averages in the second half. It’s also a pitcher-friendly park, with Perez posting a 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14.6 K/9 rate in their two matchups this season.
Streamonator Valuation: $-11.4
Jackson Jobe, DET (vs. PIT)
This talented youngster has the stuff to be an ace, and we’re finally seeing glimpses of that potential. Jobe allowed six runs in his second start against Chicago but has surrendered just nine total runs across his other six starts. He also has a 2.61 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 8.7 K/9 rate in that six-start span. That’s the sort of form we saw from Jobe throughout his minor league career, maintaining a 2.88 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. This guy will undoubtedly be a popular sleeper pick in drafts next year, but this is a great opportunity to pick him up for one final start. Pittsburgh isn’t a great matchup, but they rank 25th in K rate while struggling at times in the second half.
Streamonator Valuation: $-1.3
Keider Montero, DET (vs. WAS, vs. PIT)
We had Montero in my waiver wire article yesterday, and we have to go back to him as one of our streamers here. This guy has been one of the most underrated pitchers in baseball this season, tallying a 3.58 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. That’s funny because Logan Gilbert has a 3.69 ERA and 1.06 WHIP, but nobody ever talks about Montero. In any case, we love those peripherals in this two-start week at home. Detroit has one of the best pitcher’s parks in baseball, with Montero amassing a 2.60 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across his last nine starts there. We already talked about Pittsburgh’s offense, but Washington has been one of the worst in baseball over the last month.
Streamonator Valuation: $6.4
Roki Sasaki, LAD (vs. SD)
Sasaki has been on the IL with a finger issue, but he’s expected to return to the rotation for this San Diego series. That’s a good opportunity to pick this guy up because Sasaki had a 3.05 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 8.7 K/9 rate in seven starts before that injury. Fantasy managers have been waiting for Sasaki to break out, and we might’ve seen it right before the injury. A home matchup with the Padres only adds to his intrigue, with San Diego sitting 19th in runs scored and wOBA. Sasaki has been successful in LA this season, allowing three runs or fewer in nine of 11 starts while surrendering seven hits or fewer in all of them. This might be a limited start, but 4-5 quality innings would be great in this unpredictable final week and he might even appear late in the week as well.
Streamonator Valuation: $NA
Bryce Miller/Kade Anderson, SEA (vs. LAA)
These two have been disappointing, but both guys have the stuff to go off in a matchup like this. Let’s start there because the Angels rank 29th or 30th in runs scored, OPS, wOBA, xwOBA and K rate. That makes them the worst lineup in baseball, and there’s no chance they have success in a pitcher’s park like the one Seattle possesses. Miller has made that place home all season, posting a 3.66 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 10.6 K/9 rate at T-Mobile Park. He also had one of the best starts of his career against them earlier in the season, allowing two hits across seven scoreless innings while striking out nine batters. We can trust Anderson because of his minor league form, posting a 1.06 ERA and 0.64 WHIP in 18 starts at Triple-A. These two are risky with their recent struggles, but a gem from either could be the difference in your fantasy matchup.
Streamonator Valuation: $38/$52.9
Hitting Streamers
Cole Carrigg, COL (vs. ARI, at CWS)
Carrigg has been a regular in my streamers article over the last month. It always seems like we get a random Rockies player who goes off, and he’s that guy right now. Carrigg has been hitting third or fifth for Colorado every day, compiling a .272 AVG and .804 OPS throughout his rookie season. He’s also got 10 homers, 11 steals and 21 doubles across 85 total games. The recent form is even more encouraging, with Carrigg collecting a .333 AVG and .947 OPS across the last three weeks. A home series only adds to his intrigue, and we don’t mind the closing series against a subpar Chicago staff.
Henry Bolte, ATH (vs. LAA, vs. HOU)
Bolte is another guy who’s been in numerous of my articles over this final month. He’s developed into the everyday leadoff hitter for the A’s, and there aren’t many better lineup spots since they play in Sacramento. That park has become a hitter’s haven, and Bolte has a full week at home in this closing week of the season. That would make any leadoff hitter a worthy option for one of our streamers, but Bolte has been brilliant recently. He has a .395 OBP and .889 OPS since August 1 while recording eight homers and nine steals. Few players can grab you two homers and two steals in this final week, but Bolte is one of them, with six games in Sactown.

SAGNOF (Saves/Steals Ain’t Got No Face)
Steals Specialists
Jonah Cox (SF)
Cox is the league leader in steals over the last month, recording nine over his last 20 outings. He’s also hitting .325 in that span while batting leadoff for San Fran.
AJ Ewing (NYM)
Ewing is up to 24 steals this season and has nine over his last 24 outings.
Saves Specialists
Rico Garcia (BAL)
Garcia has taken over as the O’s closer, recording three saves over his last four appearances. He also has a 0.61 ERA over the last month.
Ben Joyce (LAA)
Joyce has five saves over his last 12 appearances, and LA wants him to be their closer of the future. They’ll keep giving him chances because of that.
