You say that you’re trying to find an affordable high upside starting pitcher on Friday’s slate? Yusei Kikuchi ($9,200) is the guy you are looking for as he takes on Tampa Bay. The Rays strike out 28.7% of the time against left-handed pitching with a poor .292 wOBA. Kikuchi, who has a 2.28 ERA in the last month, is a pivot off of the expensive high-end starters on the slate. This provides an opportunity to have a lower rostered player without sacrificing the potential of landing the highest scoring starter on the slate, which is the ideal target for GPP tournaments.

Jose Berrios, SP: $9,000– Berrios is having an awesome season with a 3.49 ERA and a 26.0% K-rate. He’s facing a Rangers lineup with a 90 wRC+ and a 26.1% strikeout rate against right-handed pitching.
Jesus Aguilar, 1B: $2,600 – Aguilar is punished by his pitcher-friendly home ballpark, but he’s been a beast on the road this year batting .286 with 12 home runs. This means that we can take advantage of soft pricing when he’s in a hitter’s park, like Wrigley Field.
Luis Urias, 2B/SS: $3,300 – Speaking of hitter’s parks, Urias will be batting leadoff in the best hitting environment in all of baseball, Coors Field. He’s basically a “free square” in cash games for such a high floor at this price. He’s viable in tournaments as well, but be wary of high rostership rates on Brewers and Rockies hitters.
Justin Turner, 3B: $3,500 – As always, Turner is mashing against left-handed pitching with a 146 wRC+ and is facing a southpaw in Caleb Smith. Turner has lots of chances for runs and RBI batting third in the Dodgers lineup.
Francisco Lindor, SS: $3,100 – The Mets lineup has stack upside against Erick Fedde, who has a career 5.25 FIP. Lindor is cheap along with Pete Alonso ($3,400) and Jonathan Villar ($3,000).
Giancarlo Stanton, OF: $3,400 – Stanton has heated up over the last two weeks, hitting .294 with four homers. It’s tough to find many hitters with Giancarlo’s extreme home run power at this price.
Randal Grichuk, OF: $3,000 – Grichuk has a .917 OPS against lefties and faces one in Bruce Zimmermann, who has a 4.83 ERA and a 1.81 HR/9.
Mark Canha, OF: $3,500 – Canha is in a nice spot leading off for the A’s against Jameson Taillon, owner of an abysmal 5.74 ERA. Reaching base at a .374 clip with 11 homers and seven steals, there are lots of ways for Canha to put up points.

Doing Lines In Vegas
If James Kaprielian can keep pitching well, Oakland is a strong play at +130.
