Happy weekend friends, it’s our final weekend of action before the break, so let’s go out on a winning note.  My winning strategy tonight is saving some serious cash with Patrick Sandoval ($7,700) and stacking all the choice bats.  Sandoval has been a DFS goldmine on the cheap since June and I fully expect that to continue tonight against the Mariners.  With their bottom two team OPS and their top five team strikeout marks, they make for easy pickings.  Pickings that Sandoval’s 9.7 K/9 should tear apart.  Looking at the top pitchers on the slate, I’m very willing to pay down at SP and pay up everywhere else.  Let’s dig into the everywhere else.

New to FanDuel? Scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond? Well, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFSBot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray. It’s how we know you care!

Walker Buehler, SP: $10,400 – I love Sandoval, but I’m not crazy enough to play him in cash.  Buehler facing an Arizona team who loses on the road like it’s their job is the cash game stud tonight.

Joe Musgrove, SP: $8,900 – I’m definitely throwing a bullet or two out there with Musgrove on board.  I don’t totally trust him, but this match-up (Rockies on the road) couldn’t get much easier.  Musgrove has been more like Mehgrove lately but the last time he put up a sixty burger was in this very same match-up.  Fingers crossed he goes into the break on a high note and we get a GPP bink out of it.

Cody Bellinger, C/1B: $3,300 – I’m quite shocked Bellinger is this expensive considering how awful he’s been.  I love this match-up but I expected to come in and see him sub 3K.  Despite that, he’s still worth an add here.  Caleb Smith doesn’t really have any splits, he just gets clobbered by everyone.

Rowdy Tellez, C/1B: $2,000 – Getting ROWDY for min price, oh, heck yes!

Luis Urias, 2B: $2,600 – Urias has been red-hot and his price hasn’t caught up to his production yet, get in while the gettin’ is good.

Ian Happ, 2B: $2,500 – Happ is 2B on FanDuel?  Who knew?  I’ll take Happ’s power upside for a potential GPP winner.

Patrick Wisdom, 3B: $2,400 – Assuming Bryant is still out, Wisdom is another guy who is too cheap and obviously has the pop to rack up those FanDuel points.

Fernando Tatis Jr., SS: $4,300 – Choice bat.  This is why we went with Sandoval.

Paul DeJong, SS: $3,300 – You didn’t go with Sandoval?  DeJong has some pop in that bat and saves you some cash.

Shohei Ohtani, OF: $4,400 – Choice bat.  Ohtani’s gonna be getting those reps in before the HR derby.

Yordan Alvarez, OF: $4,100 – We’re still stacking against Cole.  Cole without the whacky tacky has been so hittable and Yordan is going to tee off tonight.

Mookie Betts, OF: $3,500 – I can’t wait for Mookie to get scorching hot after the ASB, I think that starts tonight.

Harrison Bader, OF: $3,000 – We’ll get one cheaper bat in here, Bader’s ability to score points in multiple ways makes him a huge DFS value.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

I would keep an eye on the game in Chicago, it’s looking like a wet one there.  The rain might be light enough to play through, but it won’t be pretty.

Doing Lines In Vegas

There are some big favorites on the slate tonight, starting off with Buehler and the Dodgers at a massive -280.  Hence, Buehler being cash game gold tonight.  Freddy and the Brewers are -190, but I’d rather pay up for Buehler.  Sandoval and the Angels are only -112 favorites and I’m all over that.  STL@CHC features the slate’s lowest run total at 7 runs, maybe Davies or Kim is worth a little run at their cheap prices.  The highest run totals are in Houston and Seattle at 8.5 runs apiece.
