We’re getting into the stretch run in this sprint of a season. Football is just around the corner but you can still dominate on the diamond. Let’s start with A.J. Pollock (OF: $3,000), a guy who I feel has gone a little under the radar. Pollock is putting up a solid season with production across the board. He’s got a good matchup in a park that still favors hitters. At this price, I really like him today.

Zach Davies, SP: $9,000 – Davies is dealing right now and gets another crack at the Rox after just dominating them a couple turns ago. Even more impressive is that he did it in Coors. This time around he’ll be in his pitcher friendly home confines of Petco. This is shaping up to be a very fine outing.
Dane Dunning, SP: $7,700 – You like Ks and picking on the Pirates? Dunning is your man. I don’t expect him to get super deep in to the game, but he can still put up some numbers in five or six innings.
Rick Porcello, SP: $6,900 – Trust the bot and ignore all else. Despite a high ERA there is reason to expect the results to improve as his BABIP is just insanely high. He won’t blow you away, but you can’t really complain at this price.
Will Smith, C: $2,900 – He should be back behind the dish and the bot is all over him today.
Garrett Cooper, 1B: $2,700 – Not the sexiest name out there but the bot says he’s a solid play for the price.
Tommy La Stella, 2B: $2,900 – He’s batting in front of what has turned out to be a pretty darn strong lineup. More than that, he’s getting on base because he refuses to strike out.
Nick Madrigal, 2B: $2,400 – He’s been fire since coming off the IL, although sadly without power. Power isn’t really his game and hits count for fantasy points so don’t sweat it.
Yoan Moncada, 3B: $3,100 – Despite some Covid related struggles which probably explains the lack of steals, he’s still bringing some pop. Pop is good, pop is life.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa, 3B: $2,600 – Hard not to like him at this price when he’s hitting this well out of the two hole. He’s riding a nice hitting streak, scoring runs, and swiping bases. What’s not to love? Well ok, I wouldn’t say no to more power but we can’t be too choosy. Take him at this price and run with it.
Tim Anderson, SS: $3,800 – Sometimes you gotta pay up for a top option. You have to love everything that he’s giving you right now and that makes him well worth it.
Marcus Semien, SS: $2,900 – He’s been pretty good and he’s back in action. Plus the price is right. Sometimes you don’t have to pay top dollar for top performance.
Starling Marte, OF: $3,000 – Another gem at a good price, Marte is giving you 5 cat production. The change of scenery hasn’t slowed him down so get him in your lineup.
Ramon Laureano, OF: $2,900 – Three grand too much for you? How about we nick a benjamin off? He’s struggled at the plate this season but his defense keeps him in the lineup and back to back two hit games could be the start of a surge.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
How’s that weather looking you ask? Well let me tell ya. We’ve got rain in Texas, but if they’re smart and close up that roof we won’t have to worry about it. Rain may also be rolling into New York but the chances don’t really pick up until quite a bit after gametime and it should just be overcast.
Doing Lines In Vegas
Good thing the rain shouldn’t hit New York until after the game because that’s our Vegas 10.
