Happy hump day everyone! I can’t believe is the last of the regular season, 6 months just flew by. A large chunk of teams have started resting players. We’ve seen plenty of guys go on the IL over the last couple days as well. Teams you should be safe to pick from include Yankees, Mariners, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Dodgers, Giants, Phillies, Braves, and Astros. It’s okay to go elsewhere but look at game logs and lineups to see how their respective teams are managing them.

Starting Pitcher

Max Fried, SP: $9,000 – Philly is decimated with injuries right now. Outside of Harper, Segura and Realmuto, their current line leaves much to be desired. The Braves have yet to clinch the division as Philly is only a couple games back, so expect full usage of Fried tonight.

Max Scherzer, SP: $11,500– San Diego’s disappointing season has been well covered by just about everyone. In the month of September, they have a 92 wRC+, good enough for 22nd in baseball. The Dodgers are trailing the Giants in the division. It’s a sure bet they’ll let Max go as deep as he needs to, to secure the win in this one.

Catcher First Base

Bobby Dalbec, C/1B: $3,000– He currently has 131 wRC+ vs LHP and a 95 wRC+ vs RHP this season. He has certainly adjusted to MLB pitching as well. He has .339 average in August and a .273 average so far in September. He’ll face Zac Lowther, who has a 7.66 ERA and 12.2% barrel-rate allowed in 24.2 IP this season.

Paul Goldschmidt, C/1B: $4,100– Goldschmidt in his career against Milwaukee owns a 171 wRC+ in almost 400 PA. Prettttay pretttay…. pretty good.

Second Base

Jazz Chisholm, 2B: $3,300– Taijuan Walker has given up homers in 10 of last 11 starts. 7 of those games have been multi-homer games.

Kike Hernandez, 2B: $3,600 – His OPS this season is nearly .100 points higher vs LHP than RHP this season.

Third Base

Jose Ramirez, 3B: $4,400 – Ramirez in his career has proven to be slightly better batting from the right side. Daniel Lynch has really struggled down the stretch, giving up at least 4 ERs in 3 of his last four starts.

Rafael Devers, 3B: $3,900 – I suspect Red Sox bats will be fairly popular tonight. Devers facing a lefty will likely draw less attention than the righties. Giving you a decent leverage play while still stacking a popular and high scoring game.

Short Stop

Jorge Polanco, SS: $3,500 – Casey Mize has not gone past the 3rd inning since August 30th as they reel in his innings. Effectively making this a bullpen game. Detroit’s pen has the 2nd worst xFIP in the month of September.

Ahmed Rosario, SS: $3,000 – In his career Rosario has an OPS .150 pts higher against LHP than RHP.

Outfield

Micheal Conforto, OF: $2,300 – Looking to save some salary? He’s your man. Elieser Hernandez over his brief career has wOBA against 70 points higher against LHH than RHH.

Max Kepler / Bryon Buxton, OF: $2,600 / $4,000 – I like the Twins as a sneaky stack tonight. As I mentioned, the Tigers bullpen is a bottom feeder. Some players will miss that Mize is on a pitch count, others will be drawn to the Red Sox and rightfully so. Pairing a Twins stack with a Red Sox stack should give you good leverage in GPPs.

Hunter Renfroe, OF: $3,600 – He is the highest projected hitter on the slate according to our Razzball DFSBot. Against lefties he’s been hitting 2nd in the batting order.

Willie Calhoun, OF: $2,000 – It’s only 12 IP but Janson Junk has a barrel rate allowed of almost 16% and has a FIP of 8.24 and xERA of 7.21. 12 IP isn’t enough to make any sort of conclusion but he has mixed results in the minors. At $2k, this a shot worth taking if you’re short on salary.
