We’ve come to the final Thursday of the regular season and not every race for the postseason has been decided. That’s good news for us because teams who still have something to play for will be sending out their best. The downside of that is that you’ll have to pay up for guys such as Bo Bichette, (SS: $3,800) He’s pricey but oh boy has Bo turned into a fantasy stud this season. You love to see a guy that can hit near .300, approach 30 dongs, and swipe 20 bags. He does it all and that means monster point potential. Fire him up today with full confidence.

Robbie Ray, SP: $10,800 – Captain Tight Pants is fighting for a Cy Young and his team is fighting for a wild card spot. The Jays need a win today to stay in the hunt so count on him bringing it today. The Yanks are in the hunt as well so expect their A-game but Ray can put up some gaudy K numbers.
Joe Ryan, SP: $8,800 – Four starts in, and Ryan has looked pretty good. His team may not be in the hunt, but Ryan wants to show off what he can do and earn a spot in the rotation next season. It’s a small sample size in the majors but early returns have been very promising. I’d feel good about taking a chance on him today, especially at this price.
Nick Pivetta, SP: $6,800 – Further down on the price sheet we find Pivetta. He’s been up and down this season but he lines up to turn in a solid start against a weak offense with his team needing all the wins it can get to make the postseason. The O’s have not been good at the plate, they K frequently and don’t hit a ton of dongs. Pivetta averages over a K per inning and should push that number even higher today.
Jared Walsh, C/1B: $2,900 – He’s looking to close out the season strong after a September that has seen him heat up, batting around .300. More importantly, he’s been putting up fantasy points. This is a great price for a great talent.
Bobby Dalbec, C/1B: $3,000 – Don’t let his last few games turn you off of him. There’s a lefty on the mound and that’s good news for him and for us. Take the money and run. The Sox need him to have a strong game as they fight to keep their season alive.
Enrique Hernandez, 2B: $3,400 – Tough to argue with taking the top second base option today at this price, even more so when his team is battling for it’s playoff spot. The bot loves him today and who am I to question its knowledge?
Adam Frazier, 2B: $2,500 – The Dads may have been eliminated from contention but it certainly hasn’t been because of Frazier. Now he gets a chance to keep racking up points and play spoiler to the Dodgers NL West title hopes. If that’s not a good enough reason to bring your A-game, I’m not sure what is.
Alex Bregman, 3B: $3,700 – When healthy he’s been pretty good, and right now he’s healthy. That makes him a strong option even at his price. The Astros could really use his bat as they jockey for position.
Yu Chang, 3B: $2,700 – Chang gang rise up. Don’t fear the match-up and enjoy the value he can bring to your team by using the savings to spend up on the stars. Chang has been on a nice little run of fantasy points lately and I really like him at this price.
Miguel Rojas, SS: $2,600 – Here’s your value pick at shortstop. He won’t win your contest by himself but he can give you bonus points you need to get over the top.
Hunter Renfroe, OF: $3,600 – I’d like to see him get to 50 dongs but 30 is enough power to know that he only needs one swing of the bat to make your day. Camden Yards is known as a hitter-friendly environment and I’m here for it. The best part is that the price of admission is low enough that he can still be a tremendous value.
Byron Buxton, OF: $4,000 – When healthy, he’s elite. Unfortunately, it’s not often enough that he is healthy enough to see the field which is why I never draft him in season-long leagues… but I digress because this is DFS. He’s ready to roll and you should be ready to roll him out there.
Rafael Ortega, OF: $2,600 – You know we love to bargain shop at Butters’ DFS Emporium. Ortega isn’t a sexy name or maybe even a name people know. That makes him an under-the-radar guy who can elevate your squad today. Take the plunge.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
Lots of clouds on the horizon today. Possibly some rain in KC but other than that we should be looking at smooth sailing for the final Thursday of the regular season.
