I was a huge fan of the Royals decision to add Ian Kennedy over the offseason since day one (yay me). Kennedy is really a good fit with the Royals and he’s bee hot ever since the midway point of the year. I love him at home and I think he loves himself at home because well, it’s where he lives. Don’t be fooled by how “good” the Yankees have been lately because we all know what kind of team they are when Gary Sanchez doesn’t magically hit a ball or two over the fence. The point is, I don’t trust the Yankees enough to not pick Ian Kennedy if that makes sense. At $9,400, Kennedy may be a bit expensive but it’s nothing we can’t handle.

Justin Verlander, SP: $10,800 – No duh this is a good play. Verlander can strikeout just about anyone and put the Chicago Smelly Sox at the plate, you’ve got yourself a winner.

Bartolo Colon, SP: $6,700 – This is a sexy pick right here. I’m telling you people sleep on Bartolo. This is dirt cheap for a pitcher with a sub-3.50 ERA. Wake up people!

Sandy Leon, C: $3,300 – I know he has cooled off a bit as of late, but I still really like Leon. He is great against lefties too which makes him a viable option against Drew Smyly, who continues to be overrated by DraftKings.

Brandon Belt, 1B: $3,700 – Since I spent a fair amount on getting good arms in my lineup, I’ll use guys like Belt to even things out. He’s a guy I can always rely on.

Javier Baez, 2B: $3,800 – I don’t know if a Cubs player has been this cheap on DraftKings since the downfall of Junior Lake!

Manny Machado, 3B: $4,800 – I just love Manny and it feels like a Manny game. If I’m wrong, sue me.

Addison Russell, SS: $4,500 – He hasn’t gotten a hit in the last three games which is why his price is down. Expect Russell to do some damage tonight.

Khris Davis, OF: $4,700 – I am going to do something that I have never done here at Razzball. I’m calling a home run from Davis tonight.

Mike Trout, OF: $4,500 – If you don’t play Trout tonight at this value you should see a doctor immediately.

Andrew McCutchen, OF: $4,200 – His rough first half makes for a great second half value. The Cubs should be moving guys around on the bump tonight but roll with Andrew tonight.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Mother Nature should be in a good mood today. If she’s not, you can blame me because she probably read this, got mad, and snapped out of her good mood.

Doing Line In Vegas

The Indians are -300 against the Twins today. You don’t see that too often. Given that the Indians are located in Cleveland, they’ll probably find a way to blow that. Although, the Kluber-Dean pitching matchup does seem a little lopsided to me so maybe the Indians will pull it out.
