What up Razzballeroos. Filling in for DFS on this beautiful holiday weekend Sunday. One more day of not heading to the office every week should be standard. 4 day work week is the way we need to go. You know what else we need to become standard again? No Sunday baseball games before Noon Eastern Time. Bunch of crap making me get up early this year to set all my lineups on a Sunday. Anyways let’s look at some DFS today.

I’ll be bringing you my DFS picks for the main evening slate on Sunday July 3rd, 2022. If you play on DraftKings, it is a 9-game slate starting at 12:35 Central time. This article will be primarily focused on the DraftKings slate, so if you play on Fanduel I encourage you to sign up for the DFS tools to help you make the best decisions for your lineups on FanDuel, DraftKings, and Yahoo.

New to DFS?  You can start playing right now on FanDuel and put our picks to the test.  If you’re scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFS Bot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray, it helps support your Razzball team!

Brandon Woodruff, SP: $9,500. Do I trust that the IL trip fixed all Woodruff’s problems after he came off and dominated the Rays? No, but I also see a guy who has the ability to punch out ten batters in a game going up against the Bucs and their #27 ranking in MLB in strikeouts. Plus Woodruff still has an xFIP down at 3.11, so it’s not like a turnaround wasn’t coming before the injury.

Jon Gray, SP: $8,100. Jon may have finally settled in down in Texas and has performed well since the calendar turned to June. With 4 Quality starts, also only one effort with more than 2 ER allowed and a 44/12 K/BB ratio in 37 innings with a 2.39 ERA. He gets the Mets today who have struggled offensively recently. In their last 10 games, the Mets have only put up 3.1 Runs per game.

Jose Trevino, C: $2,900. Trevino homered yesterday and has been consistently in the lineup for the Yanks. I’ll try him here against Triston McKenzie who got shellacked the last two times out vs the Twins.

Isaac Paredes, 1B: $4,300. Hard to find a guy who has been hotter than Paredes. 8 Home Runs in his last ten games and four multi-hit games. The question becomes is this a breakout for him or is he a Schmotato? I lean to the former and want to own him everywhere because the Rays always win trades.

Luis Urias, 2B: $3,000. Sticking with the recent hot hands here as Urias has 3 Home Runs in his last 7 contests and 4 multi-hit efforts. I had him on my bench in a weekly league so I should have known. Small sample size, but he is 3 for 4 against Jose Quintana in his career.

DJ LeMahieu, 3B: $4,800. Gonna do a little table setting for the Yanks stack here with DJ. I think McKenzie has a flaw going with his mechanics right now, and I am betting it’s not fixed yet, and even if it is the Yanks are not a good recipe for a bounce back.  D.J. has been seeing the ball much better as of late as evidenced by his 11 walks in his last ten games. The hits are starting to come along as well.

Miguel Rojas, SS: $2,600. I was gonna make a super stack with Isiah Kiner-Falefa, but he still hasn’t homered so I just couldn’t pull the trigger. I landed on Rojas who has quietly had a nice June hitting .290 with 3 Home runs and 4 stolen bases.

Aaron Judge, OF $6,000. The fade Triston holiday party means the Yankees big boppers are in play here. Aaron hasn’t homered in his last three games, so I figure he’s due.

Giancarlo Stanton, OF $5,200. The artist formerly known as Mike has been the hotter of the Bronx Boppers with 6 Home Runs in his last ten games. He completes the Yankees stack this afternoon.

Christopher Morel, OF $3,600. Morel is still way undervalued in price as he is averaging 9.7 FPPG at DraftKings.  That’s the same as Acuna, and better than Adolis Garcia, Juan Soto, Byron Buxton, and a host of others. He’ll continue to be a fixture in my DFS plays until they up his price or he really hits a cold streak.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Weather looks good for Sunday. Small chances of rain in Minneapolis and DC, but nothing that’s gonna cost us a game. High winds are blowing out in San Francisco this afternoon.

Doing Lines In Vegas

I did mention I do a bit of Sports Handicapping. Follow me on Twitter @TheGreat Knoche for more info. I’ll give out a Free Play here every Tuesday, but you can find all my free and premium picks for MLB and a few other sports at The Odds Breakers

I’m on the over 8 runs in the San Francisco/Chicago White Sox contest. Giolito hasn’t been good all year, especially in June. I don’t think one decent outing against the Angels has fixed anything. John Brebbia is starting in what looks like a bullpen game for the Giants, I think the White Sox will get to a few of the relievers.
