While I took some time last week to remind everyone that football exists and that we’re only 48,654 days away from the season starting (though our rankings have started!), this week, I thought I might carve out a little space during this weekly series to go over the CBS Experts Auction league I’m partaking in that was hosted by Scott White. As a refresher, here’s how the league went down. And yes, to answer your first question, I still have Chase Headley on the team. And to answer your second questions, here’s how things stand as of right now…

And be sure to check out some player suggestions for next week, straight from Razzball’s Streamonator, Hitter-Tron, and DFSBot later in the post!

Here is a summation of my feelings thus far:

I’m very ecstatic with where I am right now, but things are close so far, and there’s a reason for that. What that reason is? I have no idea. Well, I’m sure part of that reason is that this is a league with some heavy hitters… Scott White, Adam Aizer, Chris Towers, and Al Melchior to name a few. One interesting thing is that I am by far in the league lead for are the least amount of transactions. I’d like to think it’s because my reserve was filled of young and capable replacements, but that would be giving myself far too much credit. MAYBE. Here’s how my players have been faring thus far:

Really, if I had to change things, I’d probably would have gotten of the Addison Reed boat earlier (he totally is a boat), but as of now, he’s sitting on my reserve. Maybe he’ll rebound, stranger things have happened. Bruce Chen is still employed, so always keep hope alive.

So far, the team itself is doing a good job of being balanced, despite my R.A. Dickey desperately trying to make things harder for me. But what can I say? Love is give and take. The return of Tanaka should help, and while trades have been hard to come by in this league (I was recently offered Shawn Tolleson and Lance Lynn for Jake Arrieta), I could probably use another big bat to solidify my offense. Another closer would be fine too, and while I thought for a second on that Tolleson deal offered by Adam Aizer, I just like Arrieta way too much. As I mentioned in my recap post for this draft, auction leagues are my jam, and I’m grateful for the success I’m having at the moment…

This Past Week…

We’ll keep things a bit short this week, seeing as how I just waxed a bunch poetic on my fantasy baseball prowess above. Mmmm. Wax. Exactly.

Next Week…

The Streamonator seems to think J.A. Happ is worth starting, projecting him as the 32nd best option next week. Taijuan Walker is ahead of him a few spots, but is owned 38% more.

The Hitter-Tron has Kyle Blanks as your 34th ranked hitter, and just 5% owned. Travis Snider is right near the top-50’s, but it seems like slim pickings for streamers at the moment.

And be sure to check in everyday for our Daily Fantasy content, led by Sky and company. They’ve been bringing you all the tips and strategy you need to win that cash-monies. Our DFSBot is also there to help guide your way to that aforementioned cash-monies. Mmmm, cash-monies.
