Because I have Lindor as well as Jeremy Pena at SS, I was trying to move Pena to upgrade my SP quality:
One possibility is to try and get Kevin Gausman.
I am not sure if Pena is enough to get
Gausman even though the trade Razz indicator says that Pena is worth 2x Gausman.
1. Would you try and get Gausman with just Pena?
I could also offer Seth Lugo, Wacha, Olson or Warren?
I am reluctant to offer Peterson.
2. Of course, please feel free to recommend potential trades for Pena?
Thanks so much!!!
Gausman is a great target for Pena. You can offer any of Lugo, Wacha, Olson or Warren to sweeten the deal. My choice would be Olson just cause he’s currently on the IL.
Mike, Thanks so much!!
Besides Gausman, I put together the following list to consider to trade for. Which ones would you make an offer, besides Gausman, if any? Which are the ones to prioritize?
Sonny Gray
Bryan Woo
Jack Flaherty
Andrew Abbott
Kodai Senga
Tylor Mahle
Mackenzie Gore
Note: Since I have Lindor, I think that it’s a good idea to try and trade Pena. Another option is trade Austin Riley since I have Manny Machado. I am playing Lindor at SS, Machado at 3B and Riley as DH. Therefore another option is have Pena at DH and trade Riley. On the trade analysis, Pena is $24.9 and Riley is $19,1.
Thank you!!
The decision on Pena vs. Riley is driven a bit by your need for SBs. That speed is really boosting Pena’s value in the Player Rater.
All of those SP targets are approved by me except for Mahle.
Thank you for taking your time to help me!!
Hi Mike,
I so enjoy reading your column and always appreciate all your help
1. Would you start or sit Will Warren at KC?
2. Would you start or sit Gavin Williams at Seattle?
3. Would you start or sit C. Horton vs Pitt at home?
4. Do any of these starts seem risky?
Thank you!!
Martin
Hey Martin!
Those are all starts for me. None are really that risky considering the pitching landscape right now.
